Although what a complete bargain regardless! Hi Sally I have just emailed you, thanks for that! Vicky x He must have b/c all of the photos he took were unbelievable! He was with us for a couple of hours and then sent us a link via email of ALL of the photos. He then met us at the airport in Cancun to drop off all the printed photos plus the CD full of high-resolution images that we could print!
  3. HI Everyone! I would highly recommend Octavio Montes for your photographer. He is based out of Cancun and makes the drive to the Cat! We had so much fun with him and he took amazing photos! Plus, he only charged us $250!!!! we got HUNDREDS of photos back!!!

The ziplining is high above the jungles - we had a 9-yr old part of our group and he had a blast! Another great trip was Xel-ha - it's an eco-park...siteseeing, tubing, snorkeling, cliff jumping, etc! Both are GREAT!
  5. One more thing - we did the Tulum Experience - zip lining, rapelling, cenote snorkeling and Tulum Ruins - 100 percent RECOMMENDED! Marcel was our tour guy and he was awesome!!!! You can book it at the hotel.

I also asked for something a little different than what they showed in the book and wasn't charged anything extra. Again, within FIVE minutes, we had our entire wedding planned!!!
  7. Yes, we did the renewal of vows (married legally in the states right before we left). We chose to walk to Luis Miguel (BEAUTIFUL!!!). Elena has it there. Cora is still there and an absolute DOLL!!!

Quick question, I'm debating between a private reception and the one offered with the package. We are having about 30 guests at our reception and I didn't know if a reception in one of the restaraunts would accomodate our number of guests. I know it was only you and your husband, but based on your experience what is your opinion? I was thinking if they were able to reserve the whole terrace then that wouldn't be so bad. I'm just having a hard time justifying spending $55p/p for a private reception when everyone is already paying for the all inclusive. I know that the price also includes set up and stuff but I'm just torn and it's hard to decide without ever being there. Thanks and Congrats again! Thanks!!! Re: reception... There's so much wasted space - terrace outside of Bellavista and the terrace below Le Creperie...I wouldn't suggest a reception in the buffets. So, if you could - see if you can reserve the terrace outside of Bellavista - that's where we had our dinner and again - it was completely private and closed off to the public - our waiter, Eddie, was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also - it is quite muggy outside, but the view is breathtaking and you don't even care about the humidity!
  10. Hi Catbrides!!! We just got back from our fabulous trip and amazing wedding!!!! I have to calm all of your nerves by saying - they did a great job and everything went so smoothly! The minute we checked it, I met with Marisol and Elena ... we picked out our flowers (bouqet, boutinerre, table flowers and flowers for my hair). I wanted something a little different than they had in the book and it was no problem! The flowers were gorgeous. We also chose our music, Elena printed out the script (we did a symbolic ceremony) and arranged our dinner. For the dinner: We chose Bellevista (Italian restaurant) - the reserved the entire terrace for us which overlooked the ocean - candles, our flowers, champagne, etc. They also served our cake there too. I think I forgot to mention we eloped, so it was just the two of us! Lastly - we hired Octavio Montes out of Cancun - highly recommend him! He was wonderful to work with and the photos turned out awesome!... here's the link to our pix: Account has been suspended - H-Sphere Password (lower left corner): chaya Let me know if you have any questions!
  11. ANNOYED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sent in my script for my vows and I received a message from Elena saying that she will only read the hotel script and if I want my script read, I have to hire a minister or have a family read it! Didn't someone on this thread have Elena read their script?
  12. My wedding date is fast approaching ... July 9! I'm planning on having the ceremony on beach - can anyone tell me if they wore shoes or not during the ceremony? Kind of a silly question - but I must plan accordingly TIA

  14. Does anyone know how much it costs for a day pass? I'm hiring a photographer (not part of the resort) and I believe I read somewhere that I need to get him a day pass - Thanks!

Or can you please direct me to a thread with them! Thanks again for all of your posted info!
