Hi everyone. My name is Shirley and my fiance, Rob and I eloped last week. We still want to have a planned Destination Wedding to Jamaica during this coming summer. However, we flew off on a *spur of the moment* flight to the RIU Palace in Punta Cana on March 14th! It was so spontaenous and crazy, that it was flat out awesome!! It probably was the most fun and the craziest thing I've ever done in my life!! His too, I must add!! So we are planning to do our "planned" destination wedding @ the RIU Palace in Jamaica in August. The island does not seem to be that crowded, so finding hotel space and rooms do not seem to be a real problem. There are 4 RIU Resortd in Jamaica and all of them seem to have availibility during the month of August. We just have to decide how many people we are going to invite down there at that time...and just how many people can and will actually fly down there during the summer. I luv the Caribbean in the summer. It so un-crowded and everything is more than half the price than it normally is during their peak season...our winter!! I will keep you posted if anything changes. We are still torn between the RIU in Negril or the one in Ocho Rios! They both have availibility! Well....at least I'm offically married now and I'm not as crazed as I had been before we eloped...LOL!!
