a more private beach to wed at?

You may want to look into La Jolla/San Diego as well. Good luck! We loved the pictures of this location. Can we get more info from you about this beach? We are looking for a semi private scenic location for our wedding.
  4. We have decided to change our wedding plans and are looking for a semi-private beach in So Cal or Nor Cal. We are limiting the guests to immediate family and a few friends. I am posting here in search of advice and recommendations for beaches and a nearby restaurant. My Fiance and I are going to drive the coast during the next couple weekends and hopefully locate "our Spot." We are looking for Sandy Beach with rocky cliffs and outcrops Natural scenery with little buidlings etc in the background Semi-Private - Kind of a scenic "Off the beaten Path" location Nearby Restaurant that will accomodate 30 people for dinner Nearby Hotels / night life We would prefer So Cal or central Cal but will go North if the location is appealing enough. We also would like to locate a non - denominational wedding officiant. Any other advice is greatly appreciated from anyone experienced with this process.

  6. Hello Everyone. This looks like a great forum. My Fiance, (Todd) and I, (Allison) are getting married on August 15, 2009. We had plans to do a beach wedding on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. As the plans developed we started to exceed 80 people and the bill was getting huge. We are both independent people and do not expect any financial help with this event. With the economy issues we no longer feel comfortable spending so much on our wedding with my job stability lessening and him owning a retail store. We have had to tighten up our budgets a little. We have decided to stick with a beach wedding and just keep it to about 30 people (immediate family and a few friends). We both love hiking and scenic natural areas. He is an avid photographer and we both want a semi private natural appearance to the beach for our wedding. Since we are now changing plans and going small, we are trying to locate a naturally scenic semi-private beach. We have plans to drive the coast a couple times over the next couple weeks and that is why we have found this forum. I will be posting in the So Cal and Nor Cal forums in hopes of finding the recommendations for beach location and nearby restaurants that welcome large parties. TnA
