Thanks. I decided that I'm going to do the symbolic ceremony. It's funny that you mention Pastor York; I found him online last night! I'm planning on using him, too. He seems really nice and the ceremony almost brought me to tears!

Hi All, We are planning on getting married next April at Majestic. I'm so confused on how to go about making it legal and what to do at the ceremony. If we decide to be wed there by the Judge does our marriage still follow the same laws as if we were married in the US? And for those who did use the Judge, how do you go about the sand ceremony? Who leads this? Then I was thinking to just go to Justice of the Peace before we leave and use the Priest for a Catholic ceremony which will look official to our guests. But do both of us have to be baptized and go thru Confirmation for thi? He is not Catholic. Also is the Priest going to do everything in Spanish? I'm so confused Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of going that route too...getting married at home. If we do it that way, what goes on at the symbolic ceremony? Who leads the ceremony and what is it like? I just don't want it to be disorganized.

hi, has anyone received the price list for 2010?

Welcome... I vacationed there last summer in July. It is a very nice resort. The food was good and the beach was nice. The staff is really friendly, too. The only thing was the mildew smell in the room, which seems to be a common problem as I have read other people's reviews of the Riu Palace. You will need to wash everything you packed as the smell sticks to everything. The upkeeping of the Palace is amazing. They are always scrubbing the floors and working on the gardens. Good Luck with your planning.

DR did away with that 3 day rule.

Hi all, I'm looking to get married in April 2010. How does it work for DWs as far as picking the day. Since it's a vacation for the guests I'm assuming it doesn't have to be on the weekend. But I'm thinking it would be more convenient for guests if I pick a day at the end of the week, maybe Thurs or Fri. Any advice? Do those days usually get booked fast? Thanks, V
