did you take any pics of the resort while you were there? I would love to see any pics u have!
-
awesome thread- I would LOVE to know how you made your invitation (or was it STD?) with the vellom overlay- i loved that!

i am so glad you threw this out there Christie! I was having the same thoughts...let me share my"game plan" (you know, if everything goes as planned, which it never does! haha)
wedding @ 1pm (or somewhere around this time)
after the wedding:
bride/groom/party: pictures
guests: having dinner/downtime at a bar or resteraunt (perhaps even changing clothes)
around 6pm: meet back up with guests (depending on budget perhaps in a nice white sundress, I'm not gunna want to wear a huge puffy HOT dress the whole night!) and have the appetizer/drink/cake reception Jennifer was talking about including our first dance...
but that's just me- AND i'm still trying to figure out where to fit in TTD...I'm thinking the day after at dunns river falls...

Thank you all so much for your input, I knew you all would be so helpful! I am still debating on doing DIY or buying ones to print myself...primandpixie you are right, the invitations ARE the first impression- this is a big decision! I'll let you know what I decide and i might even post pics of the print ones to show you all. Thanks again

The invitations with the stamp are stamped on a square of paper just so I didn't waste a bunch of "mock invites" but they would be stamped right on there.
Thanks ladiezzz

Hello! I have had the EXACT same feelings about ROR! I have been scoping them out to see what I want to do- I'm really on the fence. The points you made were exactly what I was feeling, everyone boasts about their ROR weddings, but I've seen some great sandals ones too. Choices, choices...
you will have to let me know what you decide. Maybe it will come down to a pro/con list. I DO know that I want to get married in a Gazebo setting with the ocean in the background, and ROR only offers beach weddings, or a gazebo in the "gardens." and this was my dream, so I think I might be stuck....who knows.

this is a variation on the picture frame idea: take one of those calendars that have a custom pic for each month, and either insert engagement pictures in there or leave them blank for wedding pictures and have guests sign on a calendar page. This way your first year you can see all of these warm fuzzies, and you can also mark special things you and your new hubby did the 1st year you were married
-
YAY! I am so excited for you because this is where I want to get married!
since your new I feel oblidged to tell you that when your there you should take pics of EVERYTHING so we can get an idea of what it's like lol...jk but for sure check out reviews on here, it's an exciting time
try searching "sandals grande ocho rios" or just look under the sandals thread- both places have lots of info! welcome to the cite

I officially love this thread <3 Thanks for the pics and info Jennifer- as always you really are working hard!

I was you-tubing and i discovered wonderful steel drum band recordings- instead of paying hundreds of dollars, just use the free recorded version! haha
