  1. My wedding was on November 4, and I just got back late Sunday night. Everything went well, except for the rain. We did manage to get our ceremony and pictures outside before the rain started up again, but our poolside reception had to be indoors The room that they put us in was the basement of the hotel and it was really lame. It totally reminded me of a high school dance. The room was really tacky and the only decorations they put up were ballons. The DJ was playing the worst music ever. My dad and father in law had to pull the DJ aside and tell him to change up the music he was playing. If I knew what I knew now, I would have cancelled the "poolside" reception and just went to the lobby bar. It would have been free and not high school dance lame. Also, Jazmin screwed up my wedding time. We were supposed to get married at 3pm and she confirmed it in emails. I guess she forgot to tell the minister because he had us scheduled for 4pm and he was not available 3pm. So we had to scramble to tell all of our guests and contact the photographer to let him know the change in times. Make sure you confirm your time with the wedding coordinator multiple times. Besides that, everything went well. I'll try to post a review when I get the chance.

I just got married at the Tulum on the 4th and we have dinner at the Gran Tortuga. Everyone loved it. There are tons of different kinds of meat and there is an appetizer buffet, so there was something for everyone.
  3. Does anyone have Paloma's current email? The email I have keeps bouncing back. Thanks.
  4. I'm getting married at the Tulum on November 4, and Jazmin has yet to email me about this issue. I am assuming there shouldn't be a problem with me bringing in a photographer because my wedding is so close. I'm going to email Jazmin to confirm.
  5. I wanted to get a group rate for my guests, however, the group rate was ridiculously high. Everyone booked their own packages and saved a ton of money.
  6. Emme, do you mind emailing me a copy? I can't access attachments. My email address is [email protected] Thanks!
  7. Jazmin at the Tulum set up a welcome dinner for me at the buffet as well.
  8. I bought bubba kegs for me and my fiance this weekend too at Canadian Tire. We had checked two other Canadian Tires and they were all sold out. I was happy to finally find them this weekend.
  9. I think the resort provides those trams/golf carts to take your guests to each location.
  10. Jazmin told me that we only have to be in Mexico 2 business days before the wedding date. But then again, we are having a symbolic ceremony.
  11. The only things I have done was set the timeline for the day, choose a site and restaurant, choose a cake, set up a poolside reception after dinner. Everything else (flowers, decor, etc...) I will probably deal with when I get there.

  13. Could someone send me the pictures of the flowers? I have the pictures on my parents computer, but I am not going there any time soon. My email is: [email protected] Thanks in advnace!
  14. To those of you who have gotten married already, did you get a copy of the ceremony before the wedding? And if so, were you able to change things? Add things in? (ie. readings, sand ceremony, etc...)
  15. I'm letting my guests organize their own travel. They can book with whoever they want, whenever they want, for how much they want. I don't want my guests to pay a ridiculous group rate when they can wait a month or two and get a much better price. The resort is huge, so I am not worrying about it selling out. If you want to get married in the gazebo, you have to stay at either the Tulum or Coba.
  16. Keira, if you give me your email, I can email you the pictures I have.
  17. I have choosen my cake and have decided on the details of the reception already. I haven't choose flowers or decor yet, but I think I will do that when I get there, or closer to the date.
  18. I'm flying out with Air Canada on November 1st. Yes, I am flying out of Peason. We're also getting married at the gazebo. That's why we choose Tulum. I've been in contact with Jazmin at Tulum. I didn't book my trip with a travel agent, so I worked out all details and dates with Jazmin directly.
  19. KLee147, you're getting married the day after me. I'm November 4 at the Tulum.
  20. To those of you who already got married, how far in advance did you make you appointments at the spa for your hair? And were you able to make appointments for your bridal party? Thanks in advance!
