Im trying to decide on whether Wyndham is the best place to get married in St Thomas...I have a friend who went there on her honeymoon and loved it but I just think its expensive...is it worth the cost? Michelle

Jeannie, This is what a friend of mine sent me when I asked how she liked getting married at the Riu in Playa Del Carmen "I loved it there, not my hotel though...lol..but it was so tropical and full of beach and palm trees. I stayed at the Royal in Cancun for my honeymoon and loved it, check out the Royal in Playa del Carmen, they treat you like kings and Queens. the one in Cancun was brand new, built after the hurricane. I dont know how the one in Playa looks. My wedding was at the RIU, I would not recommend the ones in playa."

Jeannie, Thanks for the info...all the research im doing on St Thomas is coming to one conclusion....too expensive!!!Where you planning on getting married at in Mexico...Ive been to Cabo San Lucas and Matazlan...I stayed at a AI in Cabo but my hotel did not have weddings...Matazlan was not an AI but I was on spring break so I didnt care:) I have a friend who just got married in Playa del Carmen so I have a little info on that.

Im thinking about getting married at BRB too...I did look at Trip Advisor (always do before planning any trip.) My concern is if the resort is small (which I dont mind) whats there to do esp at nighttime. The last resort I went to in Cabo had NOTHING at night and it was boring unless we went to the clubs.

Hello there...I got engaged in Cabo this past July. I loved Cabo..def visit The Giggling Marlin bar when you go. Squid Roe was fun too...Cabo Wabo didnt have much going on but it was fun to see all the pics of stars. Have you found a place to stay Let me know if I can help.

Hi My name is Michelle. My boyfriend and I got engaged this past July while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. Brandon isnt much of the wedding planning type so here I am trying my best to do everything alone. Right now Im contemplating getting married in either St Thomas or Jamaica but not sure which is better. I also am looking at either Breezes or Beaches since they have free weddings if you stay at their hotels. The dates I have in my head are either May 2010 or Nov. 2009 but since I dont want a reception in the wintertime Im leaning more towards May. I am open to any suggestions that anyone can give me.
