Thanks everyone! That's exactly what I'm looking for, Skygirl. One of the reasons we're doing a DW in the Caribbean is to cut down on our own costs, but we don't want our guests paying through the roof just to attend. From what I've seen on forums here and elsewhere, though, it does seem like there's definitely less expensive options in the DR -- I'm hoping to have each person pay $1,500/taxes in, tops.

Hi all -- My name is Laura, I'm from Ottawa, ON and I just got engaged! We've only just gotten the ball rolling on plans, but right now we're looking at May, 2010 for a date and Punta Cana, DR for the location of our destination wedding. Since those are the only plans that are even close to being firm, I appreciate any and all tips and tricks for planning a destination wedding -- and any recommendations for resorts in PC. Thanks!
