  1. If any of you are like us and are staying in Mexico for a few days after the wedding, I found these Magical Starwood hotels. Haciendas in Mexico, Yucatan Haciendas, Mexican Haciendas, Haciendas of Mexico, Luxury Collection, Starwood Hotels & Resorts I think that Hacienda San Jose is the closest to Cancun. Looks like a fantasy! Jenni
  2. Looooove my stick-on cutlets. You don't have to worry about them coming off at all! Go for it!

  4. Hi, Unfortunately the Rabbi in Cancun doesn't do weddings I wanted to know if anyone getting married in the Cancun/RM area also needs a rabbi my weekend - maybe we can split the costs of travel/accommodations. Of course we would need to be getting married at different times. I am getting married at the Azul Sensatori on Sunday, May 17th - Time to be determined. Jenni

  6. did you guys have to put deposits down on your guests rooms? i am dishing our a freakin fortune!
  7. i am only doing a religious wedding there. we are going to city hall before to bypass all the technical stuff. blood test - eek! no way.
  8. this band looks awesome: ..:: Kiko & Carlos Band ::.. how can we get them into the Sensatori list!

  10. my fiance is from toronto (thorn hill) and therefore half our guests are from toronto so we are using some toronto vendors... we are using luxe destination weddings for our planning. they have been great thus far. in addition, our photographers are rowell photo - Rowell Photography | Wedding & Portrait Photographers | Barrie Ontario Canada. i HIGHLY recommend them - they are fantastic!
  11. thanks pepper. we are all in trouble! this dj list is not great! there is 1 michael jackson song! no prince! where is stevie wonder!? does anyone have any info on the band?

Does anyone know if it is the same DJ from Azul Beach? i am going to assume so because they both solely use Lomas. My TA said they only got good reviews from their clients who used the DJ. i figure that worse comes to worse, i can give him my ipod with all my songs so there is no guessing what i like/don't like. i really want a drummer to go along with the dj - hopefully they can organize that too.

Thanks so much! i think you may be stuck here. good news is, i have heard good things about their dj from my TA. when you get any info about the dj - a website, a pdf, anything, can you please pass [email protected] it's strange that they only make exceptions for photographers.
  14. it is official! i am getting married at the azul sensatori on may 17th! hooooooooray!
  15. eeekkk....i went on the actual karisma website to check out rates and my weekend was $340/night - $40 less than what my TA is quoting me! i need to get to the bottom of this!

Our TA is quoting Jacuzzi Suite (no swim up) double occupancy at $325/night and Jacuzzi swim-up double occ. at $366/night... i was quoted $375/night (no swim up) double occupancy. flights from NYC are approx $425.

Needless to say, we tried to keep expenses low for our guests. $2000 per person or per couple? thank you!
  20. if you look at it that way, my TA quoted $525 pp for 3 days - not a huge difference. that's for the weekend of may 15th. i keep going back and forth on whether i think this is high or not at times i think it's a great deal and other times i know i can make it cheaper for my guests staying somewhere else. for 4 days, the whole thing (airfare included) is $1160 pp so around $2300 per couple. what do you think is the "normal" amount for guests to spend on a destination wedding?
