  1. Hello everyone - I am hoping someone can help me, my resort (The Azul Fives by Karisma) wants my photographer to have a Mexican Work Permit - does anyone know where I go to obtain this or which form I need or what it entails? My TA doesnt seem to know... Thanks for any and all help! Erinne
  2. Haven't heard anything yet about the opening, but I have asked my TA and the rep at Karisma (Tiffany) and should hear something soon - I will keep you posted on what I learn. The bad news is they just sent me over menu options for Sensatori instead of for Fives. I asked for clarification.

Very little contact from Karisma resorts. Hi there - it's official that the start date isn't until February 1st. The hold up is apparently somethings in customs haven't cleared for the spa and restaurants. The resort will move your wedding and your guests to another resort if this is the case (and may be the case with mine too). You need to get on the phone with your TA and your rep at the resort and speak to them immediately and get IN WRITING where your backup is - otherwise they will probably just stick you anywhere. If you have kids coming it will most likely mean that you are going to have to go to the Sensatori or the Beach, but they may be willing to accommodate you in the other ones too given that they had to push it back. Given that your wedding is so close to the opening date, I would try and fight for it though, see what they say. To my knowledge they haven't started moving weddings yet, but they will if they have to and it is better to get your second choice nailed down and try and get comped for the inconvenience sooner rather than later! I will let you know when my TA gives me any updates - she is in constant contact with them and I get weekly reports. Thanks! E
  4. Hi All - My fiance and I are getting married on February 21st at the Azul Fives and I am soooo excited I know they have a very strict policy on photographers so if anyone has one they can suggest that is approved, please let me know! Construction is set to finish on December 1st according to my TA and her wholesaler - and I am very very happy to hear that! There are also some new pictures and information online and I was just recently given the restaurant outlines and wedding options. I can post if anyone wants them!

  7. Hello everyone! My fiance and I are trying to book our wedding at the Azul Fives for February 21st, 2009. We are looking at around 30 guests staying for 3,4 or 5 nights. The group rate my current travel agent gets for this weekend is $827/person for a 4 night stay without airfare...when we do it ourselves through a travel website, we find prices around $40 less per night. So in essence the group rate she is quoting us is much more expensive in than if they just book the rooms themselves ($160 more over 4 nights)! Does this make sense? If not, does anyone have a travel agent they have worked with that they can highly recommend? Any thoughts would be great! Erinne
