Megan-I was trying to find something simple, light, cheap and easy to pack. I purchases palm leaves for the bottom, luminary bags with a palm tree cut-out, and I have star fish and shells to go around. I found palm tree lights to hang at the dollar store & my invits had palm tree so it just worked out.

Thank you sooooo much for your info so far! I am finding it so frustrating allready! I organise events in the UK for a living & have planned a few of my friends weddings & my own & I am a total control freak! This is the first DW I have orgnised & I can allready see it is going to drive me mad, leaving everything until the last minute!

With regards to the BBQ, if it is minimum of 30 what are the options for a smaller party reception (ie our 12 guests?!) ideally would like somewhere private for speeches etc is there somewhere available & if anyone has a resort map or pics of the areas available please can you email them to me:

I need to vent!!! I just got a pretty upsetting text from a friend/BM while I was at the gym tonight. She pretty much told me our friendship is over, that she wasn't going to a BM anymore... ya no kidding? I just can't believe she was spineless enough to do this over a text message!

Honestly.. it's a relief! We've grown apart but only because she's jealous that our other friend started dating my FI's best friend... I know she feels left out but she's done some pretty mean spirited things lately and said things that just weren't cool. We always invited her out and she always cancelled... I think we were the ones putting the work into the friendship.

It is a bit of a weight lifted off my shoulders... now I can have the person who truly has been there for me and who I truly want to be my MOH. I just couldn't have my one friend as a MOH before because the other would have been upset and left out... I didn't do what I wanted to make someone else happy WTF? I forgot this was my wedding.

My FI and I agree that I shouldn't respond to the messages. We're both happier that this weight has been lifted and I'm happier and better off without her friendship! C'est la vie!

Sorry to vent like this... you ladies might be the only one's who might at least some what understand... or maybe I'm just crazy.

Now do I ruin my work out tonight with a glass of wine

Welcome back!! Gorgeous grown, fab pics and soooo happy for you!! My FI liked the pics as well. He liked the in TTD photos in the street. I love it when he gets excited and adds input. What package did you choose because your set up was perfect! Did you have a private reception and where. If this is toooo many questions let me know. Can't wait for the detailed review!!! We got the silver package. The private reception was at Zavaz Plaza.....BEWARE.....it gets very chilly at night and I should have booked the open air restaurant. Just our luck our wwedding night was one of the coldest,so maybe it wouldn't have been so bad on another night.
Also I did not have to pay extra for their sand ceremony. It is included in the silver package.

You have to provide your own sand ceremony set. The $40 is for actually performing the ceremony. They included the sand.

Do you know if you bring your own sand ceremony stuff if they still charge 40 dollars or whatever for a sand ceremony?

Is everyone writing their own vows? My dress has come in so I am hoping I can pick up this week. The store is close to my 98 year old grandmom so I would hate to go pick it up and not visit but she goes to bed so early.

I know a lot of my questions are repeats but, I heard someone talking about buying "real touch flowers" for their centerpieces and bridal bouquets. Does anyone have more info on this? I did a quick google search, but didn't find a site for just real touch flowers, lots of sites that sold them. I was wondering if there was a site that people were ordering them from? Also, lomas increased their price for the fabric that they use to decorate the gazebo, the price doubled! I refused to pay 150 dollars for one piece of rented fabric! What are you girls doing for ceremony decor?

Yeah, Etsy is dangerous. I haven't bought decoration for my hair yet but there's a beautiful ivory pearl hair vine on there that I want. I'm just trying to convince myself it's worth the $$.

You are going to be so gorgeous!! You've thought of everything down to the smallest detail. I can't wait to see the pics of you and your vintage wedding! I wish I had it in me to plan details like that. I don't blame you not wanting to toss your garter! It sounds exquisite. We're not doing the garter toss since our guests are pretty much family and two friends, one of which is married. So that would be weird...

Alright ladies... Groomzilla struck again!! This time it's on the timing of the invitations...
We are 8 months out, I was hoping to have them in the mail by end of March, early April. FI thinks I am way behind on this... But is 6 months out not the norm? Even then, I'm a month ahead.... He doesn't see it this way. I'm trying to calm the Virgo Groomzilla... How far out did everyone else do them?
