Welcome!! Your plans sounds a lot like mine. We are staying at the BayGardens Beach Resort for the wedding and also going to Sandals Grande for our Honeymoon for 7 days. My wedding was also cooridinated by ACW. I am having a beach Ceremony on the private beach and for the reception at Jacques waterfront. It's only a few weeks to go before the big day for me. I am a little nervous now.
by the way the ACW booked your rehearsal or did you book direct with BayGardens Beach Resort? I have been trying to get into with them for weeks, but there is something wrong with the internet. I will have to give them a call to finalize everything for the rehearsal.
Good luck with your planning and hope we were able to help. -

Good luck... -
hey ladies,
Kristy, where did you get your barefoot sandals? I was planning on just going barefoot and buy some cute heels for my reception. I have two months and a fews days to go and no shoes or garter myself. I saw a garter online I will buy. I only saw the plastic "Jut married flip flops too, I haven't seen any nice ones. If I happen to find one, I will post and let you know. If you happen to find one too , do you mind letting me know where you bought them, because I still haven't found a nice one I love yet.
Almost there ladies..... thanks for sharing...
Kristy, are you nervous yet??

Hello Kristy,
Don't worry you still have some time left. I still haven't gotten my shoes, garter and few other little things as well. My hubby to be on the other hand is driving me crazy cause he has not gotten his suit. He is going to look this weekend and hopefully he finds something rigth away. We are three months away. Time is going fast.
By the way, are you shipping anything down or taking it all with you? I don't want to have too much weight to take with me.
Hope all is going well the the other girls..

As far as flight from NY it depends. Pricing is usually around $550-$750. If you are looking to buy tickets now, it might be a more expensive since Easter/Spring break is right around the corner, you might want to wait until after May to book, flights might go down, but again I don't know for sure...
Good luck!! -
Hello Trini Bride,
Nice to have you back. Glad to hear your wedding was amazing... Thanks for the references as I am also picking out my flowers when I get down there.
I look forward to seeing pictures and more recommendations from you as I am a bit nervous now that I am only 3months away before my big day.
Thanks
Vel

beautiful shoes, still looking for me. I did found a nice one for my bridesmaid, but do you think a 2" heel will sink in the sand? I am having a beach cermony.

Welcome Chikadee..
I am doing the same picking my flowers when I get there. I heard Rendezvous is really nice. Good look planning.

It sounds like you have a lot of options ,so take your time you will make the right choice. It can get expensive, but it all depends on what you do. I choose Bay Gardens Beach Resort because of the location close to Pigeon Island and also to the night life and other restarant available. I wanted to give my guest the option to go out the resort if they decide to stay loner for a vacation. The BGBR does have a wedding Cooridinator who can help you will all your wedding plans if need be. I am planning a rehersal dinner at the BGBR and also sunday brunch. They have two three restaurant availble at the resort. You can contact Caron who is th wedding cooridinator at [email protected]. She should be availabe to help you with all your planning if you decide to book there. If you can't get in touch with them or anyone at the other resort you have in mind, Awesome Caribbean can always make arrangement for you.
As far as my reception I chose not to go the resort way and try something outside the resort. I was originally having my reception at Beach Club 1461, but there were making some renovations to the deck, so I decided to have a small private reception. I am also having my reception at Jacques Waterfront for dinner and dancing recommend by Awesome Caribeen and others. Both Jacques and Beach club 1461 are very well recommended...
Good luck and hope we were able to help. -

Are you nervous only 4 months?? -
Hello,
Welcome to the St. Lucia Brides Forum….. I am glad you have chosen St. Lucia like the rest of us. I have heard and seen beauticful pictures of the place and sure you won’t regret having your wedding there. My Fiancé and I as well have never been there, so first time for us as well. I am so excited my wedding is in June only 4 months away… Can’t wait.…
Congrats and good luck with your planning… We are hear to help anyway we can. There are a few brides to be that have been before so they can help with more info if needed.
Anyway, here are a few comments on your questions asked. I am using Awesome Caribbean as my wedding planner, so good choice. They are grate!! They can help with planning your accommodations. At first I planned on booking with Windjammer because it was AI, however considering the price and location and that everyone would have to take a shuttle bus, I canceled and booked with Bay Gardens Beach Resort for my wedding accommodations, recommended by AC. Bay Gardens is located near the Caribbean sea beaches and is close to all shops- restaurants, if you are looking for that. Not all-inclusive, but very reasonable As far as Almond, I did a few research and from what I heard it is not all that, especially if you are looking for a nicer beach, reasonable price for all-inclusive though. My Wedding Ceremony will be held at Pigeon Island. My honeymoon is booked with Sandal Grande. I spoke to few people that been there and they had all postive things to say., so great choice... I will let you know how it is when I get back....
I am sure the others would like to comment and give there recommendations as well for consideration.
Good luck!!

How are you plans going? Are you all set now.. Did you pick-up her dress, shoes, etc..? Did you work your flight situation? I think I recall you saying that your Monday flight was canceled. -
The zip line sounds like fun. I haven't decided yet. I was thinking about doing that as well, but my fiance did not want to. We are looking at maybe doing the rainforest tour. I canit wait to be in St. Lucia. First time there. I am looking forward to it.

*not freaking out... YET*
Good luck guys... I will also check to see if Mondays was dropped, before I book. That will be do bad... -
Your right I don't think the fare is going to get any cheaper. My only regret is not booking back in July when I checked. It was a $100 cheaper, now checking fare is about $700 from New York. Tha is a lot..

Very Cute. I was looking at getting the one with the seashell or maybe even the heart shape one ,since it comes with a stopper..
Ladies, I have a dilema, my fiance, does not want to do the sand ceremony. He thinks it is a waste or money and time. He thinks having our beach wedding is already beautiful and why do I need the extra... I am pretty upset about it because I really want to do it and it will be beautiful and symbolic of our love together as one, plus add a extra special something to the ceremony...
Men, they don't care about stuff like this......

ok, just my luck... I went ahead and ordered by fans from OTC and I received them today. I was very disappointment with the quality. The quality was horrible. The straw looked very hold and dried out. Like the fans have been sitting there for years, but the sizes did vary in size. I could not found one that looked usable.. I went ahead an called custerm service right away, they said they are sending a replace at no cost and I can discard the ones I had.. I am hoping the next batch is better than the first, because I will be very disapointment again.
Wish me luck ladies..... If the next batch is no good. I am thinking of just going a silk or sandalwood fan instead... -
I was think the same thing. My wedding is June at 4:30pm and I was thinking the sand might be too hot. I want to go barefoot and also have my Bridesmaid do the same, but some are not comfortable be barefoot, so we might go with Flip Flop wedge. I am trying to find a really nice dressy ones with rhinestones, etc...

I was thinking about it, but not sure it. I really don't have to have to take much down or ship. My Wedding planner did send some picture of some and I do think the prices are bit expense. I will have to look into this more and decide what I want to do. Maybe more local flowers and candles will be better. When are you getting married?
