I like BeachBride's solution, or an adults only resort. Many times people have to sacrifice to come to a destination wedding so it is their only vacation. And then to be told that their kids are not welcome to come on the vacation would be hard. Maybe you could provide someone to babysit during the wedding, or if the resort offers that service you could help with the cost and you could have a kid free wedding.

The jeweler probably doesn't like Tungsten because it is not as expensive as their platinum bands

I have a titanium and a tungsten band. What I heard when I was shopping is that they are so strong that if you have an accident and break your finger or it swells up then the hospital has to have a special tool or a laser to cut the band off, and you may be out of luck.
