Wow, thanks!! All information great! -

Yes it does depend on the setting and maybe what's going on with your body that day. The doc who performed laser on my chin and underarms used the same exact settings at each visit but on two occasions i suffered "minor" burns on my chin and nothing on the underarm. She thought that was odd The area is small about size of a quarter and I immediately started with some neosporin. I've been doucing it with lightener creams and cocoa and it's barely there anymore.

The other great thing is that they speak English (fluently) and there surgeons are US Board Certified! I have an appointment tomorrow! I asked if they could do a test on my skin and she said yes. Wish me luck! I really dont want to grow a beard anytime soon! Sounds like we are in same boat. Please find out the name of the machine and post after your appointment. Good luck and just think happy thoughts while on the table!!! I have had underarms and small area on chin done. Underarms 3 treatments have been fine. One underarm more sensitive then the other. Chin burned at 3 tries. Not doing it again!! My doc is Indian and is suppose to specialize in ethnic skin, but she doesn't have the "darker" skin perfected yet. Her words.. Oh well, good luck again!! Bra Causing Marks On Shoulders??
nettyboop11 replied to nettyboop11's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
It's ok. I've found a few things on-line that I may purchase. I'm also using cocoa butter to get rid of some of the darkness, but wanted something a little stronger. -
Do you suffer from this problem? Have you found a solution? Helppppp! Dress is strapless. Marks not bad but hyperpigmented nonetheless. Of course we want to be as close to perfect as possible. I have 4 months left!! Thanks, Netty

She just happens to be a relative who is also in my wedding party. I had not planned on paying her entire expense for travel, maybe half, but she thought I was going to do total. What arrangements have you made with your stylist? -

Thanks Mich, Yes, we needed this thread!! I'm blessed to have a friend here in Delaware who is a MAC Genius! She works for Mac but does work on the side. I have a couple of consultations set up with her and will purchase whatever products I need to take with me. Chandlyn at the RIU informed me that the girls are well qualified girls that she would use herself. I'm going to prep before going with my stylist and pray for the best. Hopefully this thread will flourish with some great pics and pointers. -
Have you used or plan to use the hair stylist/make up staff at the Riu Ochi? If so, could you please post your pictures or give some feedback. My date is for 8/16/08 and my planned traveling stylist may not make it to Jamaica. Thanks, Netty

Hi, I did try multiple searches but didn't quite find what I was looking for. I need information from any ethnic brides that have had hair and make-up done with the stylist as the Riu Ocho Rios. My wedding date is 8/16 and a guest/relative that was suppose to travel with me may not make it to Jamaica. Any feedback or pictures?? Thanks, Netty

I agree when would you get to party on the sand with friends and family again!! sounds like a great plan! -

I think it's 250$ for the disco and it just open at 11 p.m. for the public so you have the disco for your group. I think that way everything will be flowing and not to rush: we have 2h between the ceremony and dinner for the pictures and we have 2h30 for dinner. Hi Ocho Bride, My wedding date is 8/16/08/ I did get that same info about the disco opening up at 11 for the public. I'm not sure about the amount of people I'm going to have at this point so I'm trying to hold off a little longer to confirm if I would even be able to use Mammee's since it only seats 50 or so comfortably. I have a feeling I'll end up at Seagrapes or Plantation for sure. Thought about poolside, but I think $50 pp when you have a group of 75 or more is too much. I agree, I hate the fact that u have to pay for open bar. Guess just one of those things!! How do u plan to introduce your wedding party, etc if you have one? Are you doing this at dinner or at Seagrapes? -

Did you get the flowers locally @ home or in Jamaica when you got there?? I'm guessing you got them home and carried your bouquet with you. It appears you didn't have any bridesmaids. Another thing that had to be less stressful! I love my BM but, some stress issues pop up here and there. This site is so addictive! I'm going to rest now. Have a great marriage! Oh, forgot to mention. My color scheme is very similiar. I found a page in Oprah Winfrey's magazine and fell in love with it. I'm wearing ivory and my bm are wearing a yellow/canary color and a color called terracotta which is in the orange family. -

Wow! Glad you had the vision you did and that it turned out soooo beautiful!!! Congrats! Did you work hard at putting your colors and flower choices together? Who did you use for the bouquet? Again, beautiful. I'm sure the photographer will be calling you to use your photos for marketing! -

Are you doing dinner at any of the restaurants? I'm considering renting the disco or Seagrapes. I think the disco is $250 US for 2hours and includes the DJ and Bar (9-11) not sure how private though. My wedding is @ 4 pm and I'm booked right now for Mammee's at 6:30. I want to try and keep everything flowing w/o any breaks and w/o moving locations. ie.. dinner and party part of the reception at different locations. -
