  1. Neysa was amazing! I negotiated for her to stay until after the ceremony to touch me and the girls up. She did my make up and hair, 1 of my bridesmaids make up, and 2 bridesmaids hair. She did us all herself, and I didnt have to pay an assistant. (or their day pass)

  2. We had vanilla cake... with vanilla icing. Plain, simple...and it was REALLY good! I asked Erika to NOT put on the little bride and groom... they were quite ugly (sorry my opinion). So i gave her some silk rose petals to put on top. She FORGOT!! So as we are sitting there at dinner I look over... and i see the cake with the plastic people on it. I had to think fast so I grabbed a couple of flowers from the table... walked over... picked up the bride and groom and tossed them under the cake table, replacing them with the flowers. LOL it was quite hilarious I'm sure... for anyone who witnessed that. Anywho... a little of track. The cake looked very pretty. I love simple, so thats what I asked for. Although it was plain and simple... the guests loved it!smile03.gif

  3. We used silks from Petal Garden. I paid $68 including shipping for a mega pack. I calculated that it would be heavy coverage. However with the wind factor, it was more of a light coverage, but still looked amazing! They had to be put down MOMENTS before the ceremony because of the wind. Looking back, since they were so cheap I should have ordered double the petals. But it still looked pretty.

There are a couple pic of the silk petals in my review.

  4. I think the whole ceremony was about 20. Then hubby and I walked back up the aisle together and went straight to the champagne set up (right behind the ceremony set up). Then people took a few pics, and then people followed us. Then we drank champagne with sand in our toes. It was great!

You may want to make sure your wedding party knows they should follow you and get people to go back to the champagne area. We went back and it was a bit awkward as people were not automatically walking back. So we had to motion to them to join us. smile159.gif

  5. My reception was at the Steak House.

Erika offered to pre order the food, but i thought it would be easier to let them order day of. Food came fairly fast, but there was about 20 minutes between when the first and last tables got their food.

But it is mexico time i guess... it wasnt a huge deal. Although ironically the table with the parents and immediate family were the last to get food!

  6. Cabobride09.... those pics are great!!!!

I just got a bit teary eyed actually... hearing you talk about how excited you are about him and seeing your pics. I am glad you love him and his work. He is such an easy person to take pics with... i love him. Looking at your pics.. I am so jealous... and WISH we had done some pics at that location!!!

My husband and I LOVE Cabo.... so are going to hire him when we go back next, to do some more photos. I am actually going to bring my wedding dress... I am dying to do a trash the dress shoot!

Congrats on hiring him!!!! You will be so happy!

  7. I ordered fans and parasols from asianideas.

Delivery was $41 CAD. But you know what... it was SO worth it, I could not find anywhere in Canada that sold them, so you either pay, or you go without!

But it works out great if you are getting fans too!

We ordered 50 fans, 6 parasols. With delivery it came to $121.47.

    And the quality was GREAT!

  8. Good choice! Thats where we were married. Just a tip... ask the photographer and videographer to take their footage with their backs to the lawn chairs and pool area, wherever possible. A few of our pics have them in the background which i dont love. However our photog and videographer did a good job trying to keep the focus away from that area. The photographer especially.

  9. 1 hour for video DEFINATELY. Most of our video is of us having our pics taken. LOL

It was fun, and really sute to look back at, but not necessary.

2 hour for photo... that is LOTS. I recommend having lots of ideas of what you would like to do. Alberto is great, and has ideas, but he likes to do things that YOU will appreciate in the photos.

For photo try and have him for 15-30 minutes of you and your bridesmaids, and then groom and groomsmen (more time for you and the ladies), then ceremony, then about an hour after.

    HOPE THAT HELPS!!

  10. (I just watched the frist 30 seconds and turned it off)

I was married at 4pm, there were people watching, but no one made noise or was disrespectful. I did meet a bride who was married a few days prior and she said people were fairly loud, and that she would go to the swim up bar on our wedding day and quiet everyone.

When i first saw the spot, i was a little disapointed, cuz it wasnt the romantic setting i thought it would be. But i would not chose the gazebo over the beach. You know that area where all the people are... gawking? Well the Gazebo is BESIDE that bar. You will probably like the beach better.

That being said, it was wonderful. No one was loud, but yes they were watching. I got my video back, and you could tell everyone was quiet. Yes there is a small fench there... and yes there are blue beach chairs beside the site, but to be honest, I would have NOT CHANGED location in a million years. YES i am a bit disapointed that some of the pictures you can see the blue chairs/crowd of people/ fence next door... but most of my pics blocked that all out. I had a great photographer, and i had told him i didnt want the 2cruise ships in the back groud if possible, so that was his main focus.

Look at the reviews of wedding at the Santa Fe... and dont worry too much about it!! I stood by that bar area before walking down./.. and if i felt i needed to, i could say 'hey guys PLEASE be quiet". And i am sure that would be fine... people are fairly respectful of Brides.

Ask the santa fe brides here if you have any questions! i may try and post my video for you to see, if i can figure out how!!!

GOOD LUCK, Dont worry. I am VERY happy i chose this resort, and if given the choice to go back... i WOULD NOT change where we got married!

Cabobride09..... i dont mean to bad talk the gazebo... it is actually very pretty, and on the other side of the bar, but it is not as private as the beach area. SANDRA, did you see the gazebo? To the Right of the tequila bar if facing the ocean? Cabobride09, what time of day are you getting married? If it is later in the day (than 4pm) it will be perfect sun the people sun tanning there will be gone.... and the bar will have died down a bit! i think it closes at 6pm (the bar)

  11. Thanks! Yes it was an amazing wedding!

I would be more than happy to share advice on wedding stuff (now that the wedding is over it is great to share ideas... it brings back all sorts of memories)

I am not sure about the spa's salons services.... there are a few former santa fe brides on here.... do a search on renova spa... you should find something!

That is great news that you hired Neyssa.... you WONT regret it!!!!

Are you sure you don't want to hire her for the others? It was so much fun having us all get done by her! Then the don't have to walk all over the resort on the wedding day (the resort is HUGE, you will see what i mean)

Only 2 of my bridesmaids had hair done and 1 had make up, and myself of course, all By Neyssa.

Good luck! I Looking forward to helping out!
