What a dilemma!! You are comepletely reasonable to include only people you want in your ceremony. Is there a larger vehicle available for you to rent? Woud the nephew and GF mind cabbing it?

If you don't have a photographer or videographer the earlier suggestion to ask her to fill this role would be very cute! She will have a role to play without being "in in the ceremony." I am sure she will be excited to take any part of it and she might pick up anew hobby! Good luck.

congrats on booking a location - You must be so relieved. That is the biggest step. Everything will fall into place from there. And you've got a pretty good group of Dreams veterans here. I'm sure it will be fabulous!

I agree that it's time to have a sit down with your fiance. You are totally within reason to have concerns about his friends/family. While everyone loves a DW, it's about your love and a celebration of your new life together - it's not Memorial Day w/e in Cancun. I think if you tell your FH how you're feeling he will understand and work with you. Better to get it out than keep it bottled up inside. The last thing you want is to be stressed....there are plenty of other (POSITIVE) things to think about! Good luck!

I just booked my venue for Valentine's Day 2009!!! It is on a Saturday and it's also a long weekend (President's Day is observed Monday 2/16). Dean and I are getting married on La Ropa Beach in Zihuatanejo with a reception immediately following at La Perla restaurant right on the beach. So excited!!!! have been toying with totally exploiting the love/pink/red theme, but I am not sure if that is too cliche. My FH loves blue and I am a little inspired by cerulean blue because I think it will really pop in pictures.

In any case I just wanted to see if there were any V-day brides out there....

I think you looked gorgeous and even if you don;t keep the dress you will always have the pictures and they were gorgeous - well worth it! Are you selling on preownedweddingdresses.com? incidentally - what size is your dress?

That is a really sweet idea, bu I share your concerns about the cost of the dresses. I think it might be really nice if you buy their shoes and/or jewelry. That can be much more manageable and a super sweet gesture as well.

Becks- those are super cute. I have been thinking of doing a passport for our STD since our coors are blue as well. If you love it go for it no matter what anyone says. I would totally love to get one of those in the mail. In fact, can you tell me where you got the template

I just got engaged a week ago the night before we left for Zihua. We have not set a date, but we have decided that we want a wedding at La Casa Que Canta. We were shooting for Feb 09, but they only accomodate wedding parties of 10 or less during the high season so we may consider April 09. If anyone has info on weddings in the Zihua area, particularly at Casa Que Canta, I would love to chat.

We stayed at Amuleto during our vacation and that was an amazing experience. I would consider Amuleto for the wedding - they have a garden that is so lush and magical. I think space would become an issue. Amuleto would make an excellent honeymoon. We stayed in Suite #1 and we only left for dinner - it was a paradise! I will post pictures soon for anyone interested in a honeymoon/vacation at Amuleto.
