    We're planning on sending out about 100 STDs/invites and expect at least 75 to show. Hopefully it will be more than that- the more the merrier!

    I'm a huge proponent of a donation in lieu of a small material gift that most people won't use anyway! We will be doing it for our wedding- a donation to Hospice in honor of my dad. It's so meaningful and personal and I think it's becoming more of a trend these days. We'll do a lump sum donation to Hospice and I think we'll put a larger framed note at each table. That's what my brother did for his wedding and it worked well.

    Any St. Pete Beach brides out there? I'm having my wedding at the Tradewinds Resort (Sandpiper) and am looking for any good suggestions, general information, good vendors, etc. I live in VA so I'm doing this "sight unseen". Fortunately my aunt and cousin scouted out the venue and gave it the thumbs up, but planning from far away will surely be a challenge!

    Just popping in to say hi to everybody! A little about me- I live in VA but am getting married in FL in October 2008. We're doing it at Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete Beach and I can't wait! We don't have an actual date yet, Tradewinds only lets you book a year out, but we're shooting for Columbus Day weekend (10/11). I look forward to all the great advice out there!
