hey all.... we're getting hitched in january and it seems like alot of large houses/villas i was hoping family and friends could get together and rent are already booked. so now i'm searching for a cool, out of the way (the wedding is in Nuevo Vallarta and we are most likely staying in Bucerias) hotel to reserve some rooms at. mostly everyone doesn't want to be stuck in some HUGE sprawling resort fighting for a beach chair, so if you know of a cool place on the north side that isn't boutique-y and terribly expensive, i'm all ears. cheers! the thing is we have friends who are DJs and will be supplying the music for our reception (mostly, the disco portion at least), and they need a turntable/mixer/speaker setup, and dazzling details is charging us $830 for 10 piece mariachi band (1 set, not sure how long that is) and a PA setup that is ipod/computer ready, but we need more than that. if anyone has any contacts for sound / PA rentals in PV i'd be much obliged. cheers. i have lots of friends coming to my wedding who are professional dj's, so we don't need to hire on, although we need the PA system, anyone have any experience with renting this sort of thing in PV? we need speakers/mixer/two technic's 1200 turntables, all that jazz. thanx for the info if you got it. also, what's the rate about for a 10-piece mariachi band, per hour, roughly. cheers! when do the accomodation rates usually return to "high season' from "holiday" in january. is it a standard date that all comply to or up to the individuals and companies. thanx. R
