  1. I had my rehearsal dinner at Daquiri Dick's located on the beach near La Palapa. It was the most romantic, beautiful dinner we had ever had. We had 40 people there, the food was amazing and the ambiance is second to none! I can't say enough good things about it! The owner put together a menu for us where our guests could choose from three entrees (lobster tacos- phenomenal, yellow prawn shrimp-the best we've ever had!, and a chicken pasta dish), with appetizers and dessert and it was $34 per person. We had national beer and house wine as drinks to keep the cost down (not included in the $34 per person). Our tables were setup with candles and there was a guitarist there who serenaded our group. It was beautiful! You should definitely check out this place! ddpv
  2. I can also vouch for the Zoo. My girlfriends and I did my bachelorette party in PV two weeks ago and we went to De Santos, the Zoobar and some other Z named club that I can't remember. Zoobar was the most fun! De Santos is very chic, with white beds, but it was a locals spot with hardly any Americans there. We got some weird looks in there....
  3. Well, make sure to leave yourself plenty of time for alterations, in case they are needed. I'm sure it will turn out fine, though. I will keep my fingers crossed for you! ;-)
  4. I used Kanacca! I ordered three bridesmaid dresses from Kanaaca in September for my PV wedding. They took 2 months to get here, but I think that was because they knew that my wedding isn't until March, so no rush, right? The communication with them was a little difficult- language barrier as they are based in Shanghai. But, the dresses came in and they are...interesting. ;-) All of my girls went and had their measurements done (And Kanaaca wants all kinds of weird measurements that we had never heard of) and I got to pick the color of the dress out of about 60 or more colors they have..So, that part was nice. The dresses, however, are a much thicker material, almost like a heavy curtain material, than I had expected. The dresses look much more flowy and light in the picture.. And all of the girls have to get the dresses tailored. It was actually quite comedic when my bridesmaids were trying them on. We were all rolling with laughter on the floor. One girl had some weird pouch thing in the stomach area of her dress (As if she were pregnant or something)...one girls arm holes were soooo small she could barely get her arms through them...and the other girl had a very weird stitching down the side of her dress that made it look like she had some sort of weird tail or something... Anyways, the dresses were $69 each and the alterations will probably be $50 or so... So, we aren't saving as much as we anticipated in the long run.. Luckily, my wedding isn't real formal or real big, and my girls don't really care what they wear, so it will be fine. But, I definitely think they either have kids making these clothes, or someone was drunk when making our dresses. ;-) I wouldn't say you shouldn't use Kanaaca, because on ebay they have great feedback and lots of women order wedding gowns from them...maybe it was just the dress I picked? I will try to find it and attach a link or something so you can see- it was a very simple, plain design, or so I thought.
  5. Hi! I am getting married March 4th, 2007 in Puerto Vallarta. We are renting two private villas for our guests to stay at, and are also having the wedding there as well... The info on this site is fabulous! I am working on my OOT bags right now, and have already found lots of helpful info...
