  1. awww, that little orange one is adorable.

when I was growing up we always had cats. I remember one of our females had a litter of kittens and when they were just a couple weeks old she got hit by a car. We had to bottle feed all 4 of them and ended up keeping all of them, they were the sweetest kittens. I think part of the reason they were so sweet is because of the bottle feeding and the human interaction they had from the time they were really little.

    good luck!

  2. we bought this last year, I think I did it for about 4 weeks, and definitely noticed a difference, Steve did it for 2 months and lost a lot of weight and got into really good shape. But then he stopped, and now he needs to do it again (don't tell him I said that, lol!)

The hardest part for me was that I hated the yoga and you're supposed to do all the workouts, etc... And I also felt like their was a TON of pushups, which I know I would have gotten better at, had I stuck with it longer.

I actually should start doing it again as a morning workout and then going to the gym at night.

maybe I'll start in the morning.

  3. Oh girls, I completely fell off the wagon this week!! And to top it off the battery in my scale died and it's a weird watch type battery, so of course I didn't have one in the house and haven't made it out to by a new one yet.

So I couldn't even weigh in and see how bad I really was!!!

I just went to the grocery store tonight and picked up lots of fruit and veggies, so I'm back on the train and hopefully I didn't do too much damage to myself this past week sad.gif

  4. Lol! They weren't even homemade! I bought them at the grocery store, my favorite ones are the sugar cookies with the thick frosting on the top. I think I ate 4 of them. And then I ate a sugar free chocolate chip cookie.

I had to buy them for a meeting, but then the meeting was cancelled so I was in my car with all these damn cookies!

When I got home I brought them all to my mother in law, she loves the sugar cookies too, so at least they're out of my house!

  5. Besides my complete melt down on monday, when I couldn't stop shoving cookies in my mouth, I did fairly good during the week, not perfect, but decent. After the cookie incident on monday I went to the gym and did a step class, didn't eat anything else, and ate light yesterday, so I managed to lose this week, yay! Not a huge amount, but a couple pounds is a couple pounds. My last couple of weeks were very low losses, so this is better!

I had set a goal for myself in January, to get to a certain number, and I'm about 18 pounds away, I'm really hoping I can get to that by the time this season is done!

Most likely there will be at least one other wedding the same day, you'll be busy, I'm sure you won't even notice it.

If you think about it, most places that you'd have your wedding at, at home, have at least 2 weddings per day, one in the late morning/afternoon, and one at night, they're no different.

We used Aqua for my husbands deep sea fishing trip, they had a good time, the ones that didn't get sick at least!
  7. I used to work with someone that sat on a ball at work instead of a chair. I never really thought about it, but if it would help me to stop slouching so much, I should try it! I catch myself sometimes and it's ridiculous how much I am leaning over!

  8. I'm sorry Vikki, I know it must be hard, but you were able to turn your life around and that means so much more than a few friendships.

and you're right, you're extended family and your mom's friends will be happy to be there and support you.

If it makes you feel any better, I have the group of friends like sex in the city, and none of them came to my DW. (one of them had just had twins, the other two really had no excuse.) And that really hurts too, to have those friends, that don't really feel like friends at the most important time in your life.

I'd come to your shower if I was near you :)

I've found that most brides want friday or saturday. I think a weekday will be your best chance for not having other weddings, but sundays aren't as popular as fri & sat.
  10. Harty, I'm so sorry you had to change your plans. You'll still have a beautiful wedding, I've always wanted to go to barbados, but haven't made it there yet. You'll have to take lots of pictures.

Sylvia, good luck with everything, I hope you have a beautiful day. don't pack too much, I had so much stuff that I never wore and it just made it more difficult at the end of the trip when I had to pack everything back up plus the stuff we bought. One of our suitcases was actually over the weight limit on the way home and we had to pay an extra $50 bucks. The dress code is definitely not over the top.

  11. I was doing so good, until saturday afternoon, I went to a 2 year olds birthday party. I had two small pieces of pizza and some salad. But when I left Steve asked me to pick him up a pizza and of course I was still starving, so I had some of that pizza too! And to top it off, since I didn't have cake and ice cream at the party, I decided that Ben & Jerry's was in order!

What the hell is wrong with me!!!

Anyway, I got myself back on track yesterday (sunday wasn't horrible, but I won't say it was great either) so I'm hoping that I'll at least stay the same and not gain!!

(not to mention MUCH cheaper flights than i got!)

ok, so really i'm happy for whomever got the credit, but it hardly seems fair. it's not like they just booked AFTER the swine flu story broke. they booked in april. and our TA told them not to tell us!!! isn't *that* shady as hell?!
That's awful that your TA told them not to tell you, that's not right at all.

But if it makes you feel any better, it most likely had nothing to do with your TA. The resort has promotions all the time and one of the promotions that has been running a lot the last 6 months or so, is the $300 resort credit. I know that won't make you feel any better, but they didn't get it because of the swine flu craziness or anything, it's just a promotion that's been being offered for awhile now.
  13. I don't remember the site, but I think I just searched through google and found a site that you can input your weight and height and the type of activity and it estimates how many calories you burn. I think there are a lot of sites out there, it shouldn't be too hard to find.

The resorts I typically work with will do sunday weddings, it's just not a legal wedding. But it could differ from resort to resort. I would just check with them and specify that you only want a symbolic ceremony.
  15. Alyssa I was really confused too when we bought ours!

I ended up buying the wii console, that comes with one of each controller, and then I bought an extra of each controller.

then the wii balance board comes with the game. I think walmart had a package where you could get it all together, but I never actually figured out if it was cheaper or not.
