I didn't think the drinks were expensive, however I am from Los Angeles, so a drink here ranges between $9-$15 each. We got table service and it was worth it, again, I am comparing it to clubs here where table service is usually about $300 (only about $100 at Mandala).

Being a Mana fan, I really, really wanted to try this club but we ran out of time. It was actually on my "to do" list in PV.
  2. That sucks! We got married on the same day in PV and dealt with the same tropical storm so I can say that I really did feel your pain. I am shocked that your WC did not prepare and provide the correct tent! My WC pushed and pushed and thank god we finally gave in and listened. She also recommended that we do no rent lounge furniture b/c of the likelihood it would rain. I am so sorry, but I hope you can move on and focus on the positive, I bet you still had an amazing time! If you ever need to vent, pm me! I could use a venting partner (damn rain!). Also, where are the pics!!!!

  3. I didn't get them b/c of budget (quoted $30 each) but I thought they looked very nice in pictures. I also think you need to look at the set up, do you need extra lighting? We paid for extra lighting so we felt we did not need the underlight. However it you are having your reception in an area which is dark, it may be a good idea to get the lighting.

  4. Hi Ladies,

I was able to four of five parts of the raw footage we got by Luis. I was very, very pleasantly surprised. I decided last minute that I wanted a video and our amazing WC Priscilla, booked Luis a week prior to arriving in PV. We paid about $650 for about 6 hours of coverage, I believe.

The video is very long, each about 1/2 hour increments.

    UPDATED TO INCLUDE REVIEW:

I don't recall speaking with Luis at all, I did see him around obviously, however I was so pleased with the video. Luis was supposed to meet us at the airport before we left, however our flight was canceled and we ended up leaving earlier then planned so he mailed the dvd's and raw tapes here.

I was really happy with the quality of the video. The edited dvd was really nice and included music, I had no idea he was editing the video at all. We honestly picked the cheapest package. The only negative was that all three copies of the edited dvds were scratched. We can watch them on a cheap dvd but I could not rip the video to make copies. We contacted Pris and Luis, but DH never f/u so we never got a good copy. Oh well.

  5.

Someone made a striking point, saying that chickens now have more rights than gay Californians (you know we passed that animal rights measure). It's ludicrous.

I was actually discussing this with my colleague. Last night, Prop 2 (animal rights) was overwhelmingly winning, while those who voted for Prop 8 and Prop 4 (parental consent for a minors abortion) were head to head. Thankfully, Prop 4 lost, but it makes me very sad that Prop 8 passed. I don't understand. Let's limit others rights, but lets make sure the chickens don't live in cages!

  6. I think you need to make a list of your top three priorities. We knew right away we wanted to get married in PV because of its affordability for our guests. Most of our guests live in L.A. so flights are cheaper than to RM or the Caribbean. Over all, its cheaper that Cabo and we knew most of our guests on my side would plan a side trip to my family's home town in Mexico. I chose pv for its convenience. Although I didn't get the amazing ruins in the RM or the amazing water/beaches in the Caribbean we knew it was the best choice for our guests.
