  1. We got married at Playa Grande Resort, it's in Cabo not the corridor. Our ceremony was directly on the beach and the reception was outdoors on their terrace. They kept is blocked off from the other guests. They have a wonderful resort coordinator, Claudia, that really handled everything very well. We also had an outside coordinator but in reality we didn't need her. There is no charge for having the ceremony on the beach, only your decorations. The food was sooooo good. We had a surf and turf buffet and it was $35 dollars per person. They were willing to include a child's menu, but there were options on the buffet that the kids liked so we didn't need it. They are very flexible and easy to work with. We had 35 people attend the wedding. We had an open bar for 3 hours, the surf & turf buffet, cake, champagne toast, including flowers and ceremony set up and dj...oh and photographer for 4 hours with video. The total for everything was about $9,000-$10,000. Depending on what you want, you could make it less. Here is a link to our pictures, you will see the set up and the resort. If you have any questions, let me know. If you can't open the link you can cut and paste it into your browser. Kodakgallery.com*Join now and receive beautiful photographic prints from your camera
  2. There is a cute little place called the Mexican Inn. It's in Cabo about 3 blocks off the main street, very close to everything. Our wedding was on March 3, 2007. We over reserved and still have room credit there we are trying to sell. It's not fancy, there's no pool, but it is very cute and clean. They offer daily continental breakfast in the morning. You can look on trip advisor for some pictures but they don't do it justice. From the outside it does not look like much but the rooms really are darling. If you are interested, let me know. It's only $85 a night.
  3. Thanks to the welcome wagon. I'm more excited than nervous. I'm surprised I'm not stressing! I think if the wedding were local I would worry about the little details, but since we will be in Cabo....that's all that matters! We have everything pretty much set up. We were there in October (just after the hurricanes) and made all the major decisions (ceremony site, reception site, food, etc.). Our photographer is Manuel Bourgoin-I think I spelled that wrong! Has any one else used him/heard of him? Our ceremony will be at 5:00 on the beach, cocktail hour with mariachis, buffet dinner with dancing to follow outside on the terrace. We are going to take our guests on a sunset cruise the night before with dinner to follow. That's what I need help with... We want a fun relaxed place to have dinner with about 30-35 people. There are so many restaurants on the marina....any suggestions?? There is so much information on this site...I love it!
  4. Hi I'm a newbie. We are getting married in Cabo at the Playa Grande Resort on March 3, 2007! It seems so much simpler having a destination wedding. I can't wait.
