We eloped here in March and were overall very impressed with the customer service, pools and luxury amenities. We are private people and Banyan Tree very much caters to that. We hired a minister (Cancun Ministers, who I liked) to perform our ceremony on the beach, then later we had photographers (Bohemia Photography, whom I highly recommend) come and take our couples photos on the beach afterwards. The grounds of the resort are spectacular - but I'm taking off one star because the beach is rockier and not as clear as I expected, making swimming difficult. I guess I was imagining your typical clear, turquoise pool water. It was still beautiful to look at however. I still would recommend this gorgeous resort to friends and suggest they go down the highway to xpu-ha beach for that typical caribbean beach feel.
