Hi: My fiance and I got engaged in October and we are planning a July 2016 destination wedding. I am new to this and have no experience with event planning, let alone destination planning. My primary concern is finding a venue. We are planning on having approximately 30 guests and I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Below is what I'm looking for: - anywhere in Mexico or the Carribbean (in reasonable distance from both NY and CA) - small, boutique resort with 100 rooms or less - non-touristy location (I'm not interested in hotels located among strips of other hotels) - beach-front hotel - preferably with villas for some guests (i.e., beachfront standalone villa with direct access to the beach from the room) Any suggestions greatly appreciated. My secondary concern is finding a travel agent. I've read that I should have all guests book through one travel agent. But, I have no idea how to find one or where to even begin my search. I am in NYC, if that matters. Again, any suggestions or places to start are most welcome. Thanks everyone.
