  1. We got married in Dominican last November and have photographed two other weddings since. The best advice we can give, is to not over think the small stuff, but be as organized as possible before the date gets too close. Most of the time, what you send them before you arrive is never really looked at. They are pro at planning your wedding the day before the main event. Crazy! The hardest part is doing the legal documents (especially if you are born outside of Canada/US/UK). Get that done asap, in case of any unforseen issues pop up. For the OOT bags...oh that was the fun part I found that the first aid kits were very much appreciated. I had little canvas bags made up https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/ClementineWeddings?ref=l2-shopheader-name andput in some Tyenol, tums, bandaids and alcohol wipes. Fans, were also very much needed in the heat (I wanted to get some parasols too as they are great for shade and photos, but didn't have enough room to pack them) We also did the reusable insolated mugs for everyone so their drinks stayed nice and cold. The other hit was little packages of Tide handwash laundry soap from Shoppers. We had beach bags made up from etsy https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/WhiteAppleThreads that were absolutely amazing for the price. As for photographers, this is where I am biased. Dominican photographers have a very different style, so as long as you are happy with it, then you are good to go. If you prefer more documentary photos capturing the full day, bring a photographer from home so that you can build a relationship before leaving. It will also be more reassuring that if anything goes wrong after, you have a contact to get in touch with. Feel free to check out our work at https://www.facebook.com/oinkandcoo Also, do not rely on hair and makeup at the resort. Again, very different style to what is seen as natural and beachy... Hope this helps Lauren
