  1. Hi. I just got married at Dreams on Monday. We also had to deal with Areli and had some trouble. My fiance actually called her and that ended up working a little better than the e-mails. I would recommend trying that or talking to the hotel and getting your travel agent involved like Ginny said. When we got the Dreams and met with the coordinator, we didnt even see an Areli. We worked mostly with Zoe, and a bit with Dalia. I met another bride who got married on Saturday and it was the same for her. I'm guessing Zoe and Dalia actually handle the weddings. I will say Zoe was amazing. We had one issue where we forgot name tags and she handled it with ease. We didnt even hear about it until the next day because she said she didnt want to worry us, which i really appreciated. She made sure we understood what was happening and directed us the whole time. She added all these perfect little details like this cute little I Do sign and a Luggage box for our cards. I was a bit worried with the lack of communication, but it really turned out better than I even expected. I hope this will ease your mind a bit. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them. Brittany
  2. I just went on a site tour at Dreams and booked our wedding for May 25, 2014. I cant wait to read all the comments here for advice!
  3. Is anyone getting married on the beach? I heard its not private. any worries? where are the reception locations? we stayed at the riu riviera maya on a vacation and it was great but i think the riu mexico is better for a wedding. just trying to decide what makes sense.
  4. How was it getting married on the beach? I know its not private. Was that awkward? Did you have any problems? did you have to walk past the pool to get there? where did they hold the reception? we just stayed at riu palace riviera maya but didnt see any weddings while there. i liked RM for a vacation but id be nervous having my ceremony while they do a belly flop contest at the pool behind me. Mexico seems calmer and prettier.
  5. Hi! I got engaged a few months ago and am having a hard time narrowing down a location. It took me a long time just to get to these 4. Does anyone have advice/information on any of them? pros/cons? capacity? communication? how were your guests treated? entertainment? DJ? We're trying to decide between: Riu Palace Riviera Maya Grand Palladium Kantenah Sandos Playacar Beach Dreams Puerto Adventuras Thanks in advance to everyone! :)
