  1. "I recently had the opportunity to have my makeup done at Salon Negril. Thank goodness I found Debra and her assistant Sandia. My best friend was getting married (I was the maid-of-honor), and we thought we would use the resort's spa for hair and makeup the day of the wedding. We sent an email to the spa (at the resort) and heard nothing for a month. We even checked to make sure we had the correct email address with the resort's wedding coordinator. No response from her either. Apparently this is typical behaviour in the Caribbean, which I call nonsense. My best friend finally sent an email to the head office in Mexico, that was when we were told the email address (on their own website) was incorrect. During that month (with no response from the resort spa), I took the liberty of searching for alternatives to do our hair and makeup. I found Salon Negril's website, which looked professional (unlike some of the others I encountered) and I read the testimonials. I sent Debra an email and I had a response within 2 hours. That's what I'm talking about. I asked numerous questions and booked an appointment for a trial run and an appointment for the day of the ceremony. If we had chosen the resort's spa to do our makeup, we would have paid way more money for them to use L'oreal makeup (their only option) and no airbrushing service. L'oreal, is a brand I do not consider for my day to day makeup routine, much less for a formal occasion. My personal makeup collection includes lines such as MAC, Stila, Tarte, Makeup Forever, you get the idea. Airbrushing (which Salon Negril provides), in my opinion, is the ideal way to go, considering the climate. Debra also had options for makeup other than L'oreal. I highly recommend Salon Negril for your wedding hair and makeup needs."
