We are getting married at Paradisus Cancun at the beginning of May (gazebo ceremony and pool side reception). It has been hard to plan without seeing things and they have very few pictures to provide. We just had to learn to relax and hope it all comes together. The decor team has been super nice and helpful but some of their prices are ridiculous. $550 for 40 Chinese lanterns that I could probably pick up in downtown LA for about $50 max. However, they let you bring in your own decor for a "set-up fee" of $1.50 a piece. We are bringing a few items with us in order to keep the cost down and not feel too ripped off. The $1,000 outside vendor fee is insane as well - especially since they only give you two photographers to choose from. We originally wanted Dani from SweetCaribbean but she was booked and the alternative, David Pena, well let's just say that his email exchange was less than professional. So we ended up booking Octavio Montes who so far has been amazing!
