  1. Hi! You have to plan through the Romance team in Miami. They are all really nice and knowledgeable except for one person, Lauren. I only dealt with her in the beginning, before I was assigned a wedding planner. She was very dry and made you feel like you were getting on her nerves. Jessica, my wedding planner, is great though
  2. This is definitely helpful! I would love to see your pictures, if you don't mind! Thanks again!
  3. I forgot to ask about ceremony time slots too! What is everyone's opinion regarding the 4 pm and 6 pm time slots? I did some research and learned that the sun sets at 7:28 pm in June. Do you think 4 pm will be too hot... or 6 pm too late for pictures? My financee and I are going for the more "romantic" vibe with ambiance lighting, etc. Suggestions welcome!!!!
  4. Hi Ladies! I'm getting married at Paradisus in June 2014. I've already reserved my ceremony and reception locations, but I was wondering if any one is having their reception at the Garden Gazebo. I inquired about it as my fiancee really wants this location, but was told that to hold my reception there, they would only be able to confirm 2-3 weeks prior to my wedding date, and it would not be guaranteed that I would get this location as it is 1 of 2 ceremony locations. Is anyone else having their wedding at one location and their reception at the Gazebo? It's an odd policy to me. Currently, my ceremony is at the Gabi Bridge and cocktail hour and reception at La Palapa at La Perla.
  5. Thanks so much Carlota1981! This was really helpful. Smart of you to ask the locals -- they know best! I'm going to consult with him re: August and see what he says
  6. Hi everyone! I'm new to the board and I'm hoping to get some advice on the best time to get married in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Currently, my fiancee and I have planned to get married in October 2014 but we're thinking of having a Spring time wedding. We would have wait until April or May of 2014 because he is deploying to Afganistan for 9 months starting this July. We both really love the Spring time and we've had many milestones in our relationship during this season but realistically, getting married when he returns in May 2014 will be difficult. I've read reviews and other people's experiences during the April-June time period and the weather seems beautiful and near perfect -- but I was wondering if anyone has had their weddding there in October? What are your experiences? Too rainy? Too much of a headache worrying about hurricanes/tropical storms? I really want to see if the May-June period is worth waiting 2 years to marry this amazing man. I appreciate any and all advice and stories. Thanks so much in advance!
