  1. Hi! I'm a newbie here and I am planning my Maui wedding in January 2013. I just started the planning last weekend since I was so busy with some exam...I feel that I am a little short of time but since I am not dreaming of a big wedding anyways, I want something simple and elegant. We just set the date yesterday and booked the plane ticket already. I consider myself as an easy bride as I only have two specific requirements about my wedding: 1. I need an arch with flowers. (this one should be very easy to meet) 2. Here is where I need some advice. Ideally I want a beach wedding but I heard that you can't set up arches and chairs on Maui public beaches. So I'm thinking about a private villa. It doesn't have to have a private beach but as long as it has a great view of the ocean and mountains I think I can have the wedding in the backyard. I am looking at some rental villas and they are sooooo pretty...However, most of them require minimum of 5 days of stay, and they ask for around 1000 to 1500 per night for a 3 bedroom. I'd rather have a really luxurious villa for one or two nights just for the wedding and then stay at some other places more affordable. Also, some villas even charge you for having the wedding there (around $2,000). If this is the case, I think I may just rent a place for the wedding. If you have any villa to recommend, that would be great! It is going to be a very small wedding, around 16 people. I am not worried about catering but how about the music? I've no idea how much it would cost to hire someone to play live music or have some DJ to play the music?... Any advice would help! Thank you!
