#1915572 Bridesmaid Dresses - Help!

Posted by LasCaletas on 08 September 2016 - 09:19 AM

Hi @ heatherd26!

We do beach weddings on a private beach location so this tends to call for a relaxed environment. A trend we’ve seen a lot lately (and we think it helps bridesmaids feel  more comfortable) is for the bride to just tell her bridesmaids the palette she is looking for, and allow each of the girls to get their own dress according to their style and the color of their preference. This way you are giving them freedom to go for what they will like to wear the most (and we think it also looks great in the pictures).

A twist of that is providing the girls with 2 or 3 different dress styles in the same colors so they can choose what style works best for them (for instance to each of them to choose they favorite neckline).

Here are a few pictures of lovely bridesmaid’s dresses we’ve had, that are comfortable for beach weddings:

#1915245 Mens Wedding Attire?!

Posted by LasCaletas on 09 August 2016 - 11:59 AM

Hi @MrsRoss2be

Congratulations on your engagement!

If your fiancée prefers a casual outfit we recommend going with something fun like wearing color suspenders without a jacket or for him to wear a vest at the most.

On our beach weddings the attire can be a little less traditional and we’ve had different kinds of looks: from suspenders, vests to a white or color shirt with shorts and from formal shoes to vans or sandals and even barefoot (I mean guys will be around the sand for a moment so the surrounding invites people to be a little more loose with protocol). Here are a few outfits we’ve seen for the groom and his groomsmen:

#1914307 Shot Glasses

Posted by LasCaletas on 10 June 2016 - 07:25 AM

Hi girls!

We've had some small tequila bottles and shots for wedding gifts on our beach weddings. And they are a great gift for your guest to take and remember Mexico.

Another thing we've done is setup tequila shots with a piece of lime to hold the seating cards and this way the shot glasses serve as the seating chart. Guests love it since its fun and unconventional.

#1898465 OOT Bag ideas for a wedding in Mexico

Posted by LasCaletas on 12 June 2015 - 09:14 AM

Hi @ANGELA2013

We have a few suggestions for wedding favors:

  • Choose something related to the place you’re getting married at

Have something from the place you’re getting married. One of the things that make the event unique is the location (that’s why you traveled all the way there). So you can honor that by getting something from a local shop. For instance, you could give your guest little tequila bottles, hand painted maracas or some traditional candy.

  • Buy once you arrive to your destination, if possible

You could get some benefits by doing this: you won’t have to worry about packaging and carrying too much luggage, suitcases being lost or forgetting to bring all the stuff.

  • Favors your guests can use

For instance, for a beach wedding a great idea will be to give out colorful flip-flops for the ceremony or something as helpful as a decorated hand fan (your guest will deeply appreciate it). Other great items you can give out for favor are small bags with useful items such as sun block, wipes, lip balm, koozie’s or expandable towels,or even something fun like a set of playing cards.

  • Something you can eat

If you give out something edible it’s more likely that people will appreciate it and you could be reminded for the traditional candies, fritters or delicious snack for late night cravers.

Hope this helps! Here's a picture:

#1895194 Veil Vs No Veil For Beach Wedding?

Posted by LasCaletas on 02 May 2015 - 09:48 AM

Hi girls!

We've had different choices from brides, some choose to have a veil and some prefer some floral decoration for their hair instead.
We think that a good option is to  wear the veil just during ceremony and for pictures because it really makes some great pictures:

#1893121 Sparklers! (Reception, First Dance)

Posted by LasCaletas on 14 April 2015 - 12:48 PM

Hi @veryvalentine!

We've had brides doing sparklers during the first dance and it actually makes guests feel more involved and excited to be part of that special moment.

It even shows in the pictures:

We would say totally go for them!
