Hi Ladies, I am looking to get wed in Jamaica and am looking for the best prices for my guest but also a great resort with a number of amenities. Would anyone be able to give me an approx amt that you guest had to pay for the RIU Montego Bay? Last year I went to the RIU Ocho Rios; it was kind of small to me and not too much to do on the resort itself. We did most of the amenities off the resort. Looking for any advice possible! Simone

Congrats Kateryna! I am so glad you were able to book a destination! I too am looking to book a destination wedding in Jamaica but am trying to find something affordable for my quest. If you don't mind, roughly how much would your guest have to pay for flight and/ or hotel? I notice most people get married in Punta cana or Mexico, but I dont know if that is for cheaper prices or b/c of it's pure beauty. Let me know! Thanks, Simone

Mlite83, That was a lot, but I definitely appreciate all the information you put above. We have started narrowing down our choices for the wedding. We ran into some family this weekend, so it seems like at least 70 people will be there. We are definitely looking at Mexico a lot harder. I may have some more questions soon. Thanks again!

Mlite83, Thanks for all the info, that was really helpful. We have started pricing, but some resorts do not give all the info upfront. When you say the prices in Mexico were reasonable, around how much did it cost per guest (or per couple) for a room for your wedding? Also, how many guests are you expecting at your wedding? If more than what is allowed, how much is it per extra person? Sorry to be asking so many personal questions, I just want to have a good head start on the planning. Thanks again!!
