Hi Ladies, We are getting married at the Royal Playa Del Carmen May 2, 2012. I have a ton of questions...and am hoping some past or up coming Royal brides can help. The flowers at the resort are VERY expensive...I have heard a lot about Marvin at Maya Diseno...does anyone know if you have to pay the outside vendor fee if he delivers flowers to the resort? We are paying to have an outside photographer come on site and the $350 to have them come on site is bad enough...I don't want to have to pay $350 for a florist as well (clearly it wouldn't be worth it). Any help anyone can provide would be great. We are planning the buffet for our guests for dinner. Has anyone gone this route or any suggestions to make it better? Any helpful hints about having a wedding at the Royal? Thanks ladies.

We are getting married at the Royal Playa del Carmen in May 2012. I would love some help from anyone who has been married there recently or is planning a wedding coming up! We have chosen the Luxury package...is it worth it? I am not a big fan of the Funever photographer they use (based on their website) and plan to hire an offsite photographer. I have read on several reviews that people have hired Marvin from Maya Diseno to do their flowers. Does anyone know if you have to pay the offsite vendor cost to have flowers delivered? The cost of the flowers at the resort are really high and I am hoping to find some ways to cut some costs. We are choosing a buffet option for our guests...has anyone gone this route? We don't like the idea of choosing one meal for all our guests. I have seen some people have the lounge furniture...is this something that people recommend? Expensive?? One last thing...we are getting married at 4:30 and cocktails to follow at 5-6 then dinner 6-onward. We have thought of paying to have the extra hours...has anyone had their wedding go until 11pm (the latest hour possible)? We aren't sure if it is better to just pay for the 1 hour and then let people have the choice or if it worth it to pay for the two extra hours. Any help anyone can provide would be fantastic!!!
