  1. Peach- Are you UK based? The reason I ask is that we are going through Thomson/First Choice and initially we were told that the judges fees were included, however when we went to book and finalise they said they weren't and we would have to pay for these on top. Just thought I would warn you. On the Gran Bahia website the package says they are included as well, however Thomson make you pay for them seperately which is typical of Thomson and a bit of a con. We rang and emailed the hotel to try and book it direct through them and got no answer and therefore we had no choice but to book through them. As for the religious part, I'm not sure but we were never given an option, they only told us about the civil ceremony. Also, it depends on what type of religious ceremony you are after as I would have thought if they offered anything religious it would be in line with Dominican's religious beliefs.
  2. I think that you can chose where you have ceremony and change the small details, it depends how different you want it to be. Have you seen the pictures that have been posted on another thread on here? They show flowers, cakes, locations etc. I am not sure how up to date or acurate they are!
  3. Hiya So far I have booked the wedding through First Choice and got the date confirmed, however I haven't heard anything directly from hotel/wedding coordinator. I did email the wedding coordinator several times before booking to get more info but I had no response! It sounds like you are having exactly the same problem! I think I am going to try and get some more information from First Choice/Thomson, but I am not holding my breath as they have been pretty useless so far, unfortunately they are the only people who offer the holiday package at the hotel! Ringing the hotel directly may be worth ago. It is really annoying as it would be good to prepare and have an idea of the various things they offer before we go. It does sound like the wedding coordinator is really good once you get there and speak to her though, which I suppose is the main thing.
  4. Hiya I am new to bestdestination, I found it while searching for reviews on Gran Bahia Principe! I am getting married at the hotel June 2012 and would welcome any info and tips! Also, it would be great if you have any pictures of the choices of cakes, flowers, locations etc! Thanks a lot
