  2. This really is the best site! From everyones responses I think I prefer June, but Im open, if they dont have availability, I'm okay with July. I'm waiting to hear back!

Well I guess I'm just going to have to risk it bc march is way too soon and I don't want to wait until nov:) 5 weeks, thats so exciting! Its going to be perfect! I can't wait to see your pictures!!! I will def. have more questions once I talk to the wedding coordinator!
  4. Thank you all for the welcome! I'm so excited now that I have a plan I'm really into! Quote: Originally Posted by Malisa Welcome! 5. Hi Girls! I spent the day yesterday (at work) reading this thread because I fell in love with The Riu Palace Riviera Maya when I saw the pictures! My friend has been to the one in Ocho Rios and she had great things to say but I didn't know anything about this one! After reading hundreds of posts from you all I've decided that this is the place for me! I want to call the wedding coordinator but I'm trying to nail down a date! Do any of you know when I'd least likely get rained on? June or July? I can deal with heat, but really dont want to get rained on! I appreciate any advice... And congrats to all of you who have just been married, and I can't wait for those of you to come:)
  6. Hello Everyone! I stumbled across this site yesterday when trying to decide on a hotel in Mexico for my destination wedding! I got engaged August 15, 2009 and I've changed my mind about where to get married atleast 5 times! No one even listens to me anymore! My original choice was a destination in Europe but being that it's so far I knew not too many people would make it! I tried to find places here in Georgia (I live in Atlanta) but my heart was at the beach! We then thought Destin, Fl. but that hasn't caught me either! I came across the RIU Palace Riviera Maya and I LOVE IT! So.... the dilemma now is choosing a date! For such a big trip I don't want it in October or later b/c of the holidays, but I have my heart set on a beach wedding so I don't want to go during peak hurricane time! Most everyone takes a summer vacation so I figured this could be it for them next year. Which month is better (as far as least amount of rain or chance of hurricane) in Playa del Carmen, June or July?? As soon as I figure that out I'll book it so I can't change my mind again! And so my friends and family can decide if they can come! Thanks for any advice Falan
