Anyone been to Cozumel or honeymooning there? We're getting married in Playa Del Carmen, but we're going to skip over to Cozumel for the honeymoon (can't miss that diving!) I don't even know where to start looking... if my brief review of hotels it looks like tons of them are very geared towards diving (which is definitely good!) but I'd also like to make sure it's a good "honeymoon" hotel, too... i.e., right on the beach, and probably a little nicer than wherever we stay in PDC. Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, the photographer is definitely one I should start looking at... Yeah, we'll have a rehearsal dinner and probably another less formal event or two like a welcome dinner or a farewell brunch or whatever you'd call it :-P So that's my challenge now; I'd like to find a place for us to stay where we could also have the rehearsal dinner, possibly. I'm mostly just looking at hotels atm; we're on a reeallly strict budget and I'd like to make it as cheap as possible for the guests. I'm looking at La Tortuga right now as a place to stay... anyone been there? My mom and I are trying to plan a scouting trip down there soon, pretty much as soon as I get my passport renewed! I'm hoping that won't be too late to book some stuff!

So I'm looking over this site and I'm kind of amazed at how far in advance people are planning! I'm wondering if I should be getting on the ball... My wedding's scheduled for April 24th, 2010 in Playa Del Carmen. Unlike most, though, the wedding isn't at a resort, but at a small chapel in town where we'll have a Catholic ceremony. So the ceremony planning will be a little different... still need someplace to stay, though! I haven't planned a thing yet! We booked the wedding coordinator (Stephanie at Ajua Weddings, who already seems awesome), but that's all. I have almost 11 months, is there really stuff I should be doing now?? I'm clueless :-P
