Where did you find them? And about how big are they? Thanks so much!!
  2. I see that some of us are planning our little gifts for our guests once they arrive, and I've been looking into that myself this week. I thought of sunscreens, but then decided against it since people have such particular tastes, sensitive skin, etc. so it would be difficult to have one that works for all. Instead I found these travel size aloe vera gels which are perfect at .75 cents each and it is something everyone can use (and will likely forget to bring). The website is Desert Harvest - Aloe Vera Products. They also have an organic one that is $1.50. Hope it helps! (and if you have any other ideas, send them my way! hehe) Angie

Start looking at the menus here for ideas on what you might want http://www.karismahotels.com/wedding...t-kit-2009.pdf Good luck! Thanks so much for giving me that info! And yes, as I've been trying to catch up on my reading I saw that he'd been in an accident. That's really too bad. Have you planned the decorations for the ceremony, etc? I'm wondering about those. Do you know if there is another choice besides the beach (and the sky deck), like a gazebo or something? Thanks again!!
  4. Hello ladies, It has been months (well, maybe a month and a half) since I've been able to read this forum diligently (swamped at work) and I cannot believe how much this thread has grown! Which makes me very excited that there are so many of us, but also means I am overwhelmed by the amount of information. I read some posts about the horrible wedding experience of a lady from TripAdvisor and that sufficiently freaked me out, but I am trying to remain positive. I have failed miserably at planning the last couple months, and I'm getting married on March 7, 2009. I have yet to plan the reception dinner, the rehearsal dinner, or anything else and I am beginning to realize how behind I am. I see that you contact Fabio to figure all these things out, but I can't figure out how to contact him. I've been to the Lomas site and sent a message through their "contact us" page, but I'm not sure if that is where I am supposed to be. Any help/guidance you can provide on this will be greatly appreciated, especially since I'm cutting it so close. And please lie to me and tell me I haven't delayed too much. The stress of all this is coming to get me. Eek. Thanks! Angie
  5. Hi and welcome to the forum! I'm getting married at Azul Sensatori also!

Since you are getting married after me and we will both be there, if you have any questions of how mine went and what to watch out for, we can set up a quick meet-and-greet. I can't wait though!
  7. Hi Everyone! I'm so happy I found ya'll! We just confirmed our date for March 7, 2009 at 5pm. We are planning it a bit last minute - but it's all working out ok so far. I'm a little concerned about all the rules and regulations that go along with Karisma resorts, but I suppose it is what it is at this point. We are planning on bringing in an outside photographer and I think we'll opt to have her stay at the resort. and that's as far as I've gotten on the planning! Anyway, I've been doing lots of reading. This forum is great!

It does look beautiful - I hope it turns out as lovely in real life as it is in the pictures, especially since we're not going to have a chance to go down to check it out prior to. It's all been such a rush!

I think large weddings are perfectly fine, but for us this was the better option and we are so happy we made the move! I can't wait.
  10. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome!
  11. Hi everyone! My name is Angie and my fiance and I just decided to do a destination wedding after scrapping a big wedding here in the States. We were lucky to get March 7, 2009 at Azul Sensatori (Mayan Riviera) on such short notice, and we are very excited. I can't tell you how excited I was that I found you all - I've been reading the forum non-stop for the last few days and have learned a wealth of information. But with that also comes tons of questions which mostly have been answered, and a ton of concerns that I had never thought about. Planning a destination wedding is not as hands-off as I thought it would be. =0) Well, I'll be reading much more in the future. Great forum and thanks for all the awesome info!
