Hi everyone, Has anyone done any research on the Blue Parrot Suites in Playa del Carmen? Or better yet, has anyone been there? Ideal, has anyone had or having their wedding there? Any feedback and/or experiences would be greatly appreciated: positive and negative ones, please! I am looking into it for my own wedding of 65 guests. Thank you, Lorien

Here is the bad news. Shangri La Caribe isn't taking reservations after April 2008 because they have sold. I am incredibly disappointed because I was ready to put my deposit down last week and learned this new information. I am trying to find a replacement and having trouble finding similar "specs" like the Shangri La. If you come up with anything, let me know. Hello, Posting my "newbie" posting. I am currently researching resorts for my wedding next summer 2008 in Riviera Maya and would love peoples recommendations. Here is what I am looking for: 100-150 rooms would be ideal (want smaller, more personality, less resort) Around $200 for a guests' room on the beach No more than an hour and one half from Cancun (have 85 year old grandparents that I don't want to torture). An excellent coordinator.... PS- I had Shangri La Caribe all picked out but just found out they are selling and won't take reservations past April 2008. Terrible news for me, because the property, in my opinion was perfect! Any advice would be wonderful! Thanks, Lorien
