Wedding At Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar In Cabo San Lucas

Recommended Posts

This review is definitely over due! We were married at the sheraton hacienda del mar in November 2014.

First, I cant say enough how much we enjoyed the sheraton!

Wedding ceremony & reception: The Sheraton! Absolutely everything I wanted. I will say my contact there was Jose, as difficult as it was to communicate through email and Awaiting responses- he was amazing! Definitely took time to receive responses via email from all of our vendors including the Sheraton. But he really didn't miss a beat once I got there. Everything was done accordingly and I felt like I could have asked them to do anything and no questions would have been asked. A++

Reverend Diego Vidal: easy to contact via email. Very kind. Was on time day of the wedding, and had such a sweet vibe about him. I felt very comfortable around him. A++

Cabo cakes & flowers: Donna was my contact person, she was great. Replied immediately.prices were a bit high, but I felt like it was worth it. I only need 2 bridesmaids bouquets, my bouquet, and flower girl basket. We sent pictures back and forth, felt like we were both very clear on what I wanted. Day of my father went to lobby to pick up flowers and brough them to my room... And they were wrong!! We called and talked to Francine (very rude) she informed us she would have to wait until driver came back to tell her to turn around and come fix the flowers. There was a lot of greenery that I made clear I didn't want and red roses sprayed with a lavender paint. My flowers were supposed to be all white with some very very dark purple. About 20mins before I walk down the aisle, the women who delivered the flowers came in, took out most greenery and tried to spray red roses purple- it looked awful! I had her just take them out of the bouquet. Flower girl basket was awful.. Wrapped in bright purple ribbon and flowers glued onto it- not my style. Just had my mom rip it all off the basket and left it plain. I later sent them an email explaining the issues I had and how unhappy I was- and did not receive a response. I'd rate them a C.

Suzanne Morel Make up: look no further for your make up artist! Honestly, it's worth the money! I work in the salon industry, I knew make up would be expensive... And it was. I would spend every penny all over again. Jennifer was my contact there, and so sweet! They even jumped In and tried to help with the flower situation. I absolutely loved my make up and my bridesmaids! And my moms looked great too! Very prompt! Very easy to email and communicate with as well. A++

Main event decor: wonderful! Definitely pricy as well, I didn't realize they did flowers as well or I would have used them. They supplied 25 chairs, chandelier and draping at my ceremony. They came very early in the day to set up and did an amazing job! Also easy to communicate with. I had a few contacts there but I remeber Adriana was so sweet!! All in all cost me about $1200 and would do it all over again! A++

Dj funky Ron: great prices! Very nice and laid back. I sent him a list of all the music some of which he didn't have and we provided on a thumb drive which I gave him at meeting 2 days before wedding. I think he played a few songs more than once and messed up on recessional music. But other than that he was great. B

Gilda badillo: absolutely amazing! Great pricing! She also brought 2 assistants with her. one was included the other because she injured herself earlier in the day and expected needing help. What a class act! Never even knew she was injured until the Night ended! She was nothing short of great! Absolutely love my wedding pictures! Took sometime to get them back. But worth the wait!!!!! A++++

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
