St Lucia 2015

Recommended Posts

Who else is planning their 2015 wedding in St Lucia????  I have just booked the hotel - we went with St James Club Morgan Bay for June 27, 2015 - Hoping to chat with some other St Lucia brides to see how your planning is going and things like that!

We are planning a March 2015 St. Lucia wedding! We are doing the event off site due to wanting the extra privacy for our day. Working with Michele from Awesome Caribbean Weddings and she has been absolutely great so far!!! Are you having your ceremony at St. James Club? We want the Pitons as our ceremony backdrop but are struggling to find a both budget and family friendly resort within a reasonable travel time to the location. I am excited to get married but getting frustrated trying to nail down enough details to commit to a date and put a deposit down.

How exciting!!!  I hear great things about Awesome Caribbean Weddings....... I may have to look into them to see if they can help in anyway.  But, yes, we are doing the ceremony at St James Club.  This is a second wedding for both of us, so we wanted something small and intimate.  Frustration is the perfect word..... I feel  like every time I make a decision on one thing - I need to make 3 other ones, just to make the one happen!  And someone ALWAYS has an opinion.  I just try my hardest to keep saying this is MY (Our) Wedding and no one else, except the man I am marrying can have any say!  on top of the ceremony, we are planning a backyard reception/celebration July 18th after we come home!  Talk about insane.  Hoping I can get through all the planning!!!  Good luck choosing a location!  St Lucia is beautiful no matter where you are...  We were there back in 2007 and stayed at the Sandals Grande - wanted to get back ever since!

Since you have been there before are there mountains other than just the Pitons in St. Lucia that could be used for a backdrop? I haven't really been able to find much information other than the Pitons for mountains in the country. Are any of the Sandals resorts not adults only? I am struggling with taking in everyone's opinions as well. I tend to be a bit of a people pleaser and I am finding it tough to stick to what WE want. Good to hear from you and good luck with the planning!

I'm getting married in St. Lucia June 2015! We are also working with Michelle at Awesome Caribbean Weddings- she is part of the reason we chose St. Lucia. It has been so easy working with her, just send an e-mail and whatever I need is done. We rented out private villas for the accomodations for our families. We are getting married at the Cliff View location and having the reception at 1461 Beach Club. How is everyone's wedding planning coming along?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
