Hi Everyone,

This is my first time ever posting to a forum/blog......in need of some help!!!!

My fiancé and I are looking to get married on the beach on Oahu, I hear the North Shore is a nice place to get married, has anyone been married there or, can anyone recommend a good location?

Thanks for all of your help!

Congratulations on your engagement!

There are many nice areas on Oahu and lots of choices for fabulous wedding venues but it's really dependent on:

1) the type of event you want to have,

2) the number of guests and

3) your budget.

All beaches in Hawaii are public and events utilizing them require permits and are very tightly controlled with regard to chair placement and beach access. It is possible to have a beach ceremony but it just has to be arranged within the allowances.

We are planning to have a very small beach ceremony, about 15 people and would like to find a wedding planner that could help with the planning.  We plan to have a small intimate dinner as well but, would like to have it in a restaurant that has a private room.  Any recommendations would be great!

Thank you!

Beach weddings require a permit and have use restrictions so you will want to be aware of the requirements.

There are some restaurants that can accommodate your needs but a great deal will be determined by the actual number and your budget because they all have a food & beverage minimum to which is added tax and gratuities.  As long as you meet that, you can host the reception there regardless of how many guests you have.

Hi @@slbur6

If you are looking for an intimate celebration on a beach, we invite you to check out more about our Paradise wedding at Las Caletas.

This is a secluded beach that is accessible only by sea. It’s at the south bay of Puerto Vallarta and what makes it unique is its beautiful clear water and lush vegetation from the Sierra Madre Mountains. This package is suitable for your number of guests and you even have the option to enjoy a magnificent modern dance show that represents pre-Columbian Aztec rituals and ceremony and is very well known within local and foreign visitors. After the show everyone heads back to the boat for the return journey to and on board you will have more music, entertainment and an open to be enjoyed on the way back.

We invite you to check this or our other available option on our site. And here are some pictures from previous weddings.404198135287739609

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
