Excellence PM 2013 and beyond Brides

Recommended Posts

Greetings my fellow Fiances/Brides to be, I have learned so much through this forum about EpM, but I do think it's time for an updated EPM thread to begin, the majority of them are 2-3 years old, my wedding isn't until 2015 (after I graduate grad school), so I am pretty excited to have the time to plan. My questions are: Has anyone been to EPM lately (honeymoon, vacation, wedding/wedding guest)? Has anyone begun thinking about whether they're using a DJ or Bose system, and whether they are doing lighting etch.? Also, does anyone know anything about the in house photographer? Thanks in advance for the responses, I am so excited to have you all to share my planning burdens with!

Hi LaJed,

I'm finishing up grad school too and booked my wedding at EPM for 5/2014.

I am really excited but nervous about the details as well.  All the reviews I've seen point to an awesome time, so I'm not super nervous about the room or service etc.

I have Alejandro communicating with me, but I wonder if he will be the wedding coordinator or not at this point or if there is one on staff at the hotel?

Also we did get the DJ cost I had not heard of an option for a Bose system, though I'd be interested the DJ is 900!

We did get quite a bit of detail from Alejandro so far that I'd be happy to share if you want from price lists and options etc.  He also recommended some local vendors for rentals and additional flowers.  One additional thing we need to investigate is vegetarian options--eek.

We booked the Excellence of Love package (which doesn't really specify what that is exactly as far as options/types of flowers/etc)  if you find anything out, let me know! haha

Thanks for starting a new thread, that old one was great but over 270 pages, most of them pretty old posts.

Good luck in your planning and with school!

Best,

-D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
