Finally booked!

Recommended Posts

After all the stressing we finally decided on NOW Larimar Resort 11/16/13 at 4pm :-) We are booked for the "free" symbolic wedding for now, as we price out and decide what we really want/need. I haven't heard many good reviews on the photographer they provide, but hiring an outside photographer sounds crazy expensive. Also, does anyone know if we choose the "free" wedding, do we get to have a dinner reception in one of the restaurants? Their wedding information they offer is so unclear as to what is included and what is not. Advise would be appreciated!!

Hi Erika,

I am hoping to book at the Now for Jan 2014! Just waiting on our travel agent to confirm a few things then hopefully confirm a wedding date with the Now. Did you book your date through the Now website or with your travel agent?

From what I've read on other threads, the outside vendor fee for a photographer is $500. Which has just been recently increased as they are trying to promote their own resort photographer. I was really looking forward to booking an outside photographer, but now will have to factor the increased price into the budget :(

I am pretty sure that the free wedding does not include a reception. If you look at http://www.nowresorts.com/larimar/weddings.html, it shows you only get a wedding toast/cake for 10 people with the free package. If you look at the wedding guide there are prices for each level of cocktail hour/reception. .

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
