Just Married - Azul Sensatori Bride 2012

I wanted to start a new thread as I keep coming across old ones for Azul Sensatori. I just recently had my wedding there on 3/2/12 and it was amazing. I had to post a testimonial to let everyone know how great everything and everyone was throughout my planning leading up to the big day. First of all, what a great resort! All of my guests (we had 42 people join us!) had such great experiences and would love to go back. The staff was awesome, food was great and the accommodations were even better than expected.

My travel agent who helped me pick the resort and got everyone set up for travel and transportation - Ellen Paderson of Smiles and Miles Travel ([email protected]) did a fantastic job getting everyone prepared for the big trip. She was my rock through all of this and I would highly recommend her if you are planning a destination wedding and don't know where to begin. She takes care of all the room bookings, gets transportation to and from the airport set up for all guests - she takes all the stressful work away from the bride and groom! Ellen had great knowledge about Azul Sensatori and pointed me in all the right directions - we were so happy with everything.

Our offsite wedding coordinator, who was based in Miami, was really helpful - a little slow to respond to emails at times - but extremely sweet and answered all of my crazy questions. It is nerve-racking planning a wedding from far away and not knowing all the details!

I was very hesitant about chosing a photographer - especially after reading some posts on this site. I ended up going with Caribe Photo as they were one of the preferred vendors through Lomas Travel's wedding options and I was more than satisfied with our photographer, Javier, he was so great and captured everything! He even met us the following week at our honeymoon resort to deliver our albums and CD of high res photos in person. So accommodating, we could not have been more pleased!

The onsite coordinators were great, very attentive. Our wedding was one of many that week but it was the only one happening on our day so we got all the attention which was really nice. Weather was great until we had a bit of a rain scare midday but the sky opened up and by 5pm when I walked down the aisle of the Sky deck...it was gorgeous and we were so happy! Our reception was set up by the pool at Plaza Zavaz and it was fabulous. We chose to incorporate our orange and turquoise colors but kept it simple and elegant. We rented the iPod dock station and speakers and played our own wedding playlists - we couldn't stop dancing! To top it all off we all hopped in the pool at the end...even me...the Bride!

My wedding was so great and I would highly recommend doing a destination wedding if you're on the fence. Your friends and family will thank you for giving them an excuse to get away and celebrate with you!!! cheers.gif

I hope this helps future brides - cheers!

~Michelle

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
