I need HELP with photography....

I'm getting married at Sun Place Resort in Cancun on 01-15-12. I thought I was set on booking Juan Navarro but now I'm beginning to think I might regret that decision. I've read many great reviews on him and he responds to my emails in a timely manner but I've noticed a lot of his pictures are bad shots of people or have shadows on their faces. I don't want to feel like I need to edit or fix a professionals photos. I'm so torn and confused on what to do. I know I need to book someone soon for our wedding date.

 

Our budget is $1500. I want at least 300 or more photos. I want a CD or DVD with all the photos and printing rights. I just really want amazing and beautiful high quality pictures. 

 

Please help me if you can.... All the top photographers suggested on this site are waayyyy too expensive for us. I know you get what you pay for but I'm really hoping I can find a blessing with an amazing photographer. Pictures mean the world to me!

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! Well... kinda... looks like you have been here for a while. hehe

The only advice I will give you is you should find a photographer who's work you are totally in love with. Budget is always a concern and needs to be met... but if your doubting the work of a photographer or finding things you don't like about his/her style... find someone else. There are so many amazing photographers out here with lots of different budgets. 

The last thing you want is to feel worried or disappointed on your wedding day as that emotion will come out in your pictures. You should be 100% excited and pumped about the art that your photographer is going to create for you and have the confidence that they will!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
