Hi,

I am new to the forum!! My wedding is October 17th, 2011 at the Now Jade. So far we have about 40 people confirmed and a whole bunch of "maybes." We are having our ceremony on the beach, cocktail hour at Blue Beach bar and reception at Las Olas. We have the divine wedding package. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on was to save money. I was thinking of bringing my own chair sashes and some decor for the tables but I still have to chose flowers, photographer and videographer. Most people say it's cheaper to not go with the resorts but I was wondering if this was chose. Any advice would be great.

Hi Angel,

Congratulations! I know just the person photo/videographer who has 15+ years of experience and charges only for the travel expenses to the destination. My BFF found him perfect for her budget wedding. Well, his idea is to get a vacation once a while and click great photos while he is at it. I'm sure this combo will work great for you. Visit the link to get more idea about his work.

Good luck!!

Congratulations on your wedding.   Let me know how it goes since I am getting married in Now Jade in april 14 2012.   I am trying to find the best prices and ways to save money.   I Just talk to this guy Ricardo as a possible dj for my wedding.  His website is www.discomovilcancun.com and his prices seem very reazonable but I am trying to find more reviews about him.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
