We hosted an "at-home-reception" this past weekend for 50 people in Southwest Florida (where I grew up) in celebration of our recent Hawaiian wedding with just my husband and myself. Our party was luau style, so we decided to go with BBQ as it went with our theme and the most cost effective for our budget. We lucked out big time when the owner of the home we rented for the party (more on that location later) suggested Steve from Popz BBQ & Catering.

 

Steve's prices were very competitive and offered a better deal for our group than Rib City, the other vendor in consideration. His package also included paper plates, napkins, plasticware, his homemade BBQ sauce, rolls and butter. Everyone was raving about the food, and I can't remember when I had BBQ this good in a restaurant. The onside smoker is awesome for ambience and smells fantastic, just like the food.

Thanks for the recommendation.  My wife and I just got done having our destination wedding on Sanibel Island.  I've been writing up our experience on My Sanibel Wedding website to help future destination wedding brides, and will make sure to add him to my list of catering vendors!   When we were first looking, I could only find the name of one caterer, so we ended up simply paying the resort to provide the reception dinners.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
