Can you go more into detail about your bad experience so other future T&C brides can have a heads up?

Which resort were you married at?? and which resort did you stay at?

You should def. post a review!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your wedding.

I feel like I have to say something because I just got married in the Turks and Caicos on October 8, 2011 and used Diane/Island Harmony as our wedding planner. Given our circumstances, we are happy that we used her (more on that in a bit)! Since we first contacted her early this year, Diane was nothing but attentive, kind and very organized.  While we were still researching wedding planners, she stood out from the rest because she was the only one who replied to our inquiries right away, she was the only one that offered advice and suggestions, and all this before we chose her! Diane responded to each and every one of our emails, answered all of our questions and led us by the hand through the whole process. She was very up front when we asked her opinions on things and she kept us informed of the costs and what to expect. My husband and I know that destination weddings can bring the unexpected, and unfortunately that is what happened to us. The resort we had initially chosen underwent a transition in management during our scheduled time and was unable to host our reception. We found out about this 5 days before we were due to arrive!!! You can't imagine the stress this caused not only for us but for our guests! Diane remained calm and collected while we were panicking and she handled our transfer to another resort for us professionally and quickly. She reassured us and promised that she would give us the wedding we wanted, and she did that and more! It was a blessing that we had her, and a trip that might have been a disaster turned out to be one that our family and friends will be talking about for years to come. We can't say nothing but good things about her. When we committed to using her for our wedding, we unfortunately were beaten by another couple and during our wedding she had another event. Her husband, Jack was just as nice and professional as she was and during our wedding day handled everything expertly. Diane made several appearances during the night to make sure we were ok. If anyone is thinking about having their wedding in Provo, they can not go wrong by using Island Harmony!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
