Dreams Brides - Questions and Help Regarding their "Old" Platinum Dinner?

Recommended Posts

Hi Yall,

Please help!

My fiance and I reserved our date at Dreams back in January. When we met with our WC @ Dreams months ago, we talked about the platinum (I think that's what it was called...perhaps it was ultimate) dinner and having steak and lobster served for the main course. Does anyone remember this option or talked about this with your Dreams WC?

Well, now that we're back on the ball and trying to confirm things, we heard back from our WC that it was a limited time special offer and that it's no longer applicable --- sad.gif ?!

Does anyone know about this option or have had this option with Dreams? When we met with our WC, she never mentioned that it was a limited time. Now we're trying to confirm that dinner menu, and we can't sad.gif(((

Did Dreams update and change their wedding packages in the past 6 months? Are changes related to the recession? sad.gif I tried looking through old threads for a bit, but wasn't able to find anything related.

Any thoughts or your experience is really appreciated!!!

Hmm, I am not to sure, I was able to confirm the steak and lobster for my guests thru the ultimate package, (my wedding is NOV 6th). I do have to pay and additional fee for the people over the 20 inlcuded in the package and a little more on top of the set up fees for the lobster.

Sorry I dont have better info for you.

Hi Erika,

Thanks so much for responding (and so quickly, too!) I love this forum :)

What you said is what I remember our WC telling us when we first met in January and my fiance and I agreed on the extra fee for it as well.

I'm just surprised that now she is telling us that it was a limited time offer. So I'm confused if it's no longer available, or if maybe it's a price change? Not sure... We're trying to find out what's changed at the moment :)

Thanks a bunch again!

My wedding was in April and we didn't go with any specific package- we had the steak and lobster and I think it cost $75/person. It was the best meal I ever had- (and this is an Alberta girl talking about steak! lol) Good luck- totally worth it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
