I was wondering if any Riviera Maya brides have either recently gotten back from there or are currently there (you never, know. you might be checking the forum)?

The reason I ask is b/c the week of our wedding the forecast is scattered thunderstorms ALL WEEK! I'm just wondering if this is the type of place where the rain comes in for a bit and then clears up for the day or if I may be in trouble?!...... I hope it's the other.

Thanks! 3 more days til we leave!!!!

Hey, we have been to the RM twice and both times it said it was going to rain the whole time. The first time it did rain a little more than I was happy with, but it was also the end of hurricane season. The second time we went it was the beginning of hurricane season (last Aug/Sept) when they had 5 hurricane's in the area. It rained twice! The first time was when we were on the bus going to the resort, for about 25 mins, and the second time for about 10 minutes the first morning. We had lovely weather there and they will tell you not to look at the weather forecast because it is not always a good indication. For us the forecast was definitely wrong.

Also, some other brides that recently were married in RM said that it rained only slightly so not to worry (I asked the same question as you in a different thread - Paradisus thread I think). Plan for the rain and if it is sunny you will be so happy!

Good luck though, I hope you have glorious weather!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
